Hey Kido...  sorry to hear of the clarity of thought regarding your locale...

you got any way to make lemonade out of lemons?

I always sort of thought this was temporary.

Man, how many times do people say that and are mistaken?  Too many, I'm afraid.  BUT, it may be just what I needed to go to a NEW happy place!

It wasn't all bad.  The first several years were fantastic.  And I still miss a lot of what this city has to offer when I'm away.  I'm sure there will be a lot I miss about Vegas when I'm gone.

Are you leaving? Sorry that I'm out of the loop.

There's talk, but nothing set.

Prospecting perhaps.

Any places you would really like to go?

Back to Denver...

But that won't work for the wife.  SO...  Somewhere in CA.  If we had the $$$$  Santa Monica, Newport, or something.

I decided that I like San Luis Obispo.  I have zero reasons why.  I just looked at it from Google maps, and it seems nice?

randomly, I've actually lived there.  I loved it, but I was 18 and it's not much more than a college town.  there is a farmers market every Thursday that shuts down the whole downtown and it's AMAZING.  the beaches there are stunning as well...many a day wasted in a cave at Montana de oro.

Interesting...

Know what's crazy?  I had the same feeling about Denver.  I didn't know much about it other than it was a city in Colorado and a mile high.  But something I can't put my finger on told me I wanted to move there.  Plus people said it was amazing after I started talking about it.  Best 10 years of my life (location wise).

But I'm having the same feelings for San Fran and SLO...  I visited San Fran, so I know I like that town, but something is calling me to SLO?  I have no reason to know if it's any good or not.  Weird.

SLO is terrible, you would never want to live here!

If you can get past the high cost of living, limited job market, and small town limitations it's great.

yes and no.  I just took my tests to get licensed in CA.  They are competitive in terms of salary in CA and I can keep up with the cost of living but it seems that the housing seems out of whack.  I did a check and the salary I would get would be upper average for someplace like Santa Monica, but the house price?  I couldn't come CLOSE to paying what the average house costs there.

Seems to point to people that bought houses there a LONG time ago and keep them/don't move.  If they do, they sell it for millions even though a 50k a year job can make their current payments.

Top item learned from the 50 best websites so far is the top modifier (element added to a food order) in the US and Canada is bacon. I guess this doesn't come as a huge surprise here. Black, large, medium, tomato, lettuce, small, vanilla, cheese, onion were the following choices.

* My guess is that North Americans eat a lot of burgers and drink a lot of coffee.

Hi TAN.  I just used my new smart board for a meeting.  I was skeptical but it was really fun and lots of "nice to haves" while talking out process flows.

YAy for smart boards!

My wife just auditioned to do a commercial for one of the brand new computer/tablet things.  A laptop that turns into a tablet...  She seems to be getting a lot of tech gigs recently (landed a commercial for Microsoft).  I would love to get one, BUT, with a desktop, laptop, Ipad, and 2 smartphones, I don't the wife will let me get something else for a while.

I am here, not to busy today.  Just catching up on old projects and trying to button-up so process flows.

Pitt I am moving on up.  Outside the walls of pee into the sales and strategic planning of products with a new smart board.

I read that Win8 and the touch interface is pretty poor. An embarassment for Windows, actually. Think Windows Me or Vista bad.
