Great IM pictures, Linda!  Love the one of you swimming up on the guys.  Your kids are so cute and Connor has the greatest smile ever!  I liked seeing you in regular running shorts for the run...If I ever do an IM, I would absolutely change to running shorts!  I have often wondered if I was the only one who would want to change into comfy running shorts...and out of sweaty, tight tri shorts!  Anyhow, awesome rr, too!  

Thanks for the heads up, everyone, on Reuben's gross picture.  Luckily I did not open it and do not plan to!

I forgot to put this in my RR but figured you guys might be interested especially since we've covered bilateral breathing a few time up here.

On Sunday I went out breathing left side only because of the course and the conditions.  ~ 1500 m in I started getting a weird feeling on my lower right side.  Kind of like a side stitch but not really.  I started to get a little worried because, obviously, I couldn't stop to figure out what was up.  So I eased up a little and went down the mental checklist of what to do.   Breath right side was one of the first things on the list so I did.  The pain went away almost right away. 

I was very happy to have this tool in toolbox.  Especially on longer courses where if things go bad out in the middle of a lake, bayou, ocean, wherever... they can go bad in a hurry.


 

I think the ladies should challenge the men at Lonestar although you may be mere boys when we finish with you.

Throwing down the gaunlet a early - I like it. We could work something out I bet....so far 4 boys and 3 girls.
Actual finish time vs project finish time  or something like that.

ooohhhhhhhhh  I see we get a second HIM and PR under our belt and now someone is a little big for their britches.

I hear there will be quite a MG crowd at IMCA 2011??!?!?!??!  We can train together and carpool!

I might have seriously given that some thought but there are mts. on that course.  And I've learned my lesson about tackling a tough course first time out of the box.

an ironman together?  ha that sounds like fun.  maybe even just to sherpa.  who is going from the mg

nope... FAMILY ALL WEEKEND!!!!   and mulching the flower beds..bleh

So far it is Steve, Ryan and myself.  I am trying real hard to talk Rob into it and now I guess I have to work on Linda as well.  You interested?  Chet???  It is a lot closer than NC for you?

Seriously?  Maybe racing to the icebox and back to the couch!!!!

Oh and an FYI, I did write a RR for B2B.  I promise not everything that happened that day totally sucked. Just skip the end of the run section and it was an okay race.
