RunningJayhawk - 2008-05-31 9:07 PM You have no idea honey. No idea. And I still have a LT run in the morning... which reminds me, I need to update my run info on my log. I haven't felt this brain dead in FOR-EV-ER.

Maybe I'll try one sometime.....................ummm not really sure

well, you're updated on the spreadsheet anyway - We're looking good!

amyro1234 - 2008-05-31 6:47 PM Thanks for being such an inspiring team. I went way over all of my goals including doing almost 30 hours of swimming this month! Thanks again for all the encouragement and good job on meeting your goals everyone

awesome job!

Are your fingers all wrinkled up after all that swimming?

They were very pruny right after I was done with the swim workouts!
Good job on meeting all of your goals too

Hey there team!

I updated some of the numbers in the spreadsheet for folks that were missing info from the last week - hope you don't mind, probably a good idea to dbl check it for accuracy though

what can I say?  I was bored out here in PA - lol

teams have until tonight to make sure their spreadsheets are updated and the results will be posted sometime on Monday

oh, the suspense!

Hey everyone, nice job. This was fun. I hit all my goals, and even got in a couple extra runs over the weekend when we were out of town.

Good luck to all in their training/races.

WOW, we're over 100%. That's incredible. Great job everyone!

I'm not in for the June challenge as all I really needed was a kick in the pants to get me going. I've got another hobby taking priority for June (I have an old car waiting on an engine transplant) but now I can maintain what I've started in May.

Good luck to all you middlers for whatever June brings.

It's been an awesome ride folks...definitely a little undertrained for my upcoming HIM, but I will take what the course gives me...can't imagine how many more workouts I would've missed if it weren't for the challenge...

Thanks for all the motivation this month...it looks like we will be walking running away with first place...pom poms...

Cool, what kind of car?

It's a '69 Corvette. I got a wamed over (450+ hp) '99 Trans Am engine and 6-speed O/D transmission at a deal I couldn't pass up. The sad thing is once I get it installed and running, it will be the car with the best gas mileage we own. Aero rules in cars as well. Our other cars are both aerodynamically & weight challenged; a GMC Yukon and Jeep Wrangler.

That'll be one fast ride.  Sounds awesome.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I'm starting to look for a moped/scooter type thing.  Anybody ride one?  Suggestions?

I've never ridden a scooter type (other than while on vacation in Fl), but they seem heavy. From purely a gas mileage standpoint, I'd think a dual purpose (ie off-road bike with lights & signals) would be better. They are considerably lighter and may be easier to handle, but would not be as plush or have the extra storage.

They do have the extra bonus that if you're stuck in traffic, you can make your own detours Laughing
