My stylist just called, my new hair gel is in. Woot!

(I have a feeling that's gonna show up in a signature)

Hahaha... Question since you are like a girl: do you pay for the expensive shampoo and stuff? I have both the drugstore stuff and some expensive stuff. My hair girl says she notices when my hair is drying out but sometimes I think she's just saying that to get me to buy her expensive brand of shampoo. Thoughts?

Nah, I use Target's version of Pantene Pro-V. It's all the same IMO.

But you special-order hair gel?

Well, it was one of those "You gotta try this stuff, I think you'll like it" things.

Hair gel is different... cuz if you get the wrong stuff it looks greasy and the cheap stuff turns white and flakey. Ya know?

That's called dandruff.

I admit..  I'm a fan of the John Fredia (sp?) products..  Works as well as salon products, I can get it anywhere and it's cheaper..

I do understand the hair gel thing Ryna...  I'm picky like that about hair volumizer..

Is that who makes the Brilliant Brunette (and Blonde and Redhead) stuff? That's what I use. Plus I just got some Kiehl's sport shampoo - for people who wash their hair a lot - and some of their conditioner. Pricey stuff but I don't use it every day.

Yup...  I use the Redhead..  I actually like Matrix's conditioner better but I haven't ponied up the cash for it in about a year..  I know you're not supposed to ask women this..  But do you color your hair?  I color mine (redish brown)..  There are supposed to be some great shampoos out there for colored hair..  They are Sodium Laurel Sulfate free..  The reviews are great.. I was going to try them on the next go around..

Oh ya I color it! I've been getting gray hairs since my early 20s. Just all-over color a shade darker than my natural. Thinking of some lighter highlights this time around. I have not heard of color-specific shampoos, besides what I see at the drugstore. Let me know if it really does work... my color just fades horribly. Doesn't "grow out" like you can see roots, just fades!

My left quad is twitching. It was doing this before lunch too.

Interesting.

Oh wait, it stopped. It'll be back I'm sure.

EDIT: There it is again...

I used to drink sooooo much of it. Now I love unsweetened tea.

I dyed my hair when it was really short, but I've grown it out since, so I have auburn ends.  I bought some really expensive shampoo that probably doesn't have SLS in it, but I still got build-up (common problem with dreds) so I doubt I'll keep using it.  The best luck I've had build-up wise was with Nature's Gate, but their hemp brand made my hair really frizzy frizzier.

mr2tony - 2008-07-31 12:04 PM Scout. Question for you. I have a friend who's a major in the Air Force. He just spent six weeks in South America ``on vacation'' ... what do you think the odds are that he wasn't just ``on vacation'' in Bogota, Medillin and then Peru and Chile?

Slim to none.  Task Force Bravo would be my guess.
