Artemis - 2009-11-18 8:29 PM I did a strength workout today, but was just too exhausted for anythng else.  Really long day for me.

Went to an REI preview opening for a new store.  I got one of these:

foot
It's helping with stretching my PF.  Not bad for $5.

I've had one for years, but am always misplacing it.

billsorg - 2009-11-18 9:59 AM Good morning, Gobblers! I'm very excited today! I've locked in all my races for the 2010 triathlon season. I'm going to do the same type of schedule as 2009, start with a sprint, then 2 olympics and finish with a HIM. For some reason, getting the races "officially" on my calendar (i.e. paying for them) really gets me stoked about the upcoming season. It also makes me say, "HOLY #%*^%#&! THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE SPORT!" 5/29 - Tri for our Vets, Sea Isle, NJ (Sprint) 6/27 - Philly Tri (Olympic) 8/15 - Northeast Tri, Northeast, MD (Olympic) 9/19 - Syracuse Ironman 70.3 The only other thing I'm thinking of adding is the NJ Marathon in April. I've never done a marathon before and would love to check that off the "bucket list". Have a great day everyone! Bill

Run all winter and you can add that Marathon to your schedule.  Wow, it must feel good to have your races all lined up.  I don't even know what the library open hours are going to be yet so I can't even think about any races.  Cry

I love it!  It's helped a ton. I've been using it all morning at my desk at work.  My feet feel so much better.

Where is everyone today?

I'm heading to St. Pete Florida tomorrow for the womens 1/2 mary on Sunday.  Should be a beautiful race along the waterfront.

I hear you on the work front.  It's been relentless this week.  But I did manage to sneak in a short swim afterward so all is well

Hey Gobblers! Just a quick drive by to report my 3-miler today. Today it was a nice steady run around the neighborhood (at least as steady as I could be while waiting for all the rush hour traffic at the intersections). Work has been nuts lately for me too so I've been doing a bit of plan-juggling, but I'm on pace for all my mileage. I do have a couple ST sessions to make up but I know I'll get AT LEAST my goal of 8 done.

Hello Gabbers!  I'm back from our quick trip, but work has been crazy busy.  And I have another problem -- my knee is bothering me.   It started before we headed to Orlando, but I didn't really pay attention.  Now I'm taking a few days off to see if it gets any better.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

billsorg - 2009-11-18 11:12 AM Maybe some sponsorships can help ease some of the costs! Do you think Cannondale, Speedo or Nike are looking to sponsor any WAAAAAAY-back-of-the-packers???

You would think that by sponsoring some of us BOP's  (or EOP in my case) would help keep the product promotion going through the entire race... I mean afterall, once the FOP's get their awards they're out of there but us EOP's are still on the course
I think you are right.  They would be getting MAXIMUM exposure for their product not just a measly couple of hours!

Plus, my butt is bigger than lots of the faster athletes, so their logo can be bigger.

LOVE this!!!
