Good morning TAN.

TJ, I am living proof that tall and lanky doesn't equal flexible.

I assumed if there was more to fold it would be easier. See...I shouldn't assume anything.

I am signed up until Jan, interested to see if there are any improvements, so far NONE!

BY FAR the worst yogie in the room but motivated by the tip top shaped bodies!  Steering and watching other yogies is creepy but I still do it.

I hate yoga. Its hard for me to get into. And it agitates me to no end. I get very bored and anxious. So I no longer partake. I do a mobility and flexibility class that is more like very painful stretching and digging into your muscles with rollers and balls and such. It hurts the whole time and that keeps my mind occupied.

TJ.....hate is such a strong word but with ya :-)

I never went back after an intro class.....cuz someone farted and I laughed....outloud....and couldn't stop. I got the death stare so I excused myself.

Hiya Cheri! Yoga is great - give it a little time and hopefully your instructor is hands-on in adjusting your poses so you get the most out of it.

I never thought about the correlation between height and good yogis... I would think it has more to do with where tendons and muscles are naturally placed on your body, and experience...

Hi lisa!  How are you, Mr Grey still in the picture?

I can't do much else so i will be in the hot yoga class 5 times a week, so hopefully loosen up some of these tight and unused muscles.

Yes yes we are still an "item" officially
Taking a trip to Miami in a few weeks and we're trying to figure out where to go for New Years Eve-  any suggestions welcome!

So I finally got the Christian Grey reference last night after someone told me about the book trilogy. Makes me think of Lisa in a whole new light.

Heh. Ok. How about ....really do not like. . Yoga, classical music, gentle massages....things like that make me anxious. I can't wait to get away from it. My heart rate gets jacked up. I become visibly agitated and irritated. Squirmy. I want to scream. Odd no?

So your more of a Heavy Metal, Mosh pit, Cross Fit kind of lady?  ;-P  (yeah, Im running and hiding again for that other word you hate)

Funny, it is so hard for me to be still too, and not squirm/twitch/itch BUT I also feel it is an important quality and learned skill.

But when in a stressful situation I can see its value to find a carefree place and let the "bad" energy go!

What kind of atmosphere are you looking for?

For NYE - a fun/party/but mature atmosphere, but not obnoxious or stressful like NYC. Would like to do something active (hike? ski?) while we're there... thinking Dallas right now since we can drive there easily.

We threw around places like Denver or Tahoe, but nothing really jumped out. And cruises are 4x as expensive that week than any other time of the year (that was 1st choice).

Ah - thought you were going to be in Miami for it! I've been in Ft Lauderdale for it - Street party downtown and on the beach

I did Whistler - and the problem was that most parties were expensive, and there was no fun to be had outside in the village (watched multiple arrests that night!). We found a neat little place with a small cover charge, but the fun was more in the company than the venue.

I have to laugh.  I can't BELIEVE I spent an hour yesterday defending myself about being NICE/POLITE!  Really?  we have to do that?

Next I suppose I will have to defend supporting the troops, helping an old lady across the street, saving a puppy from the shelter, or volunteering at a soup kitchen...

Speaking of puppies.  I went to the vet to get my dogs their routine bordetella shots, and rabies vacine.  60 bucks, tops.  I brought up a couple issues, and 535 bucks later, found my little girl dog has a bladder stone.  MAYBE they can disolve it, but it could be a 2k surgery....

I love dogs and I want to do what I can for them.  But they are not people...  I guess I have to drop the 2k, but dayum, that sucks...

Yep! They always have. Don't like like to be romanced either. I don't do jewelry. I don't wear heels. I don't drink wine. I don't care if a restaurant is fancy or expensive. I have a trailer park palate. Haha! I am who I am and stopped pretending to be anything but that in my early 40's. And yes ....I like the angry hard music very much. It relaxes me.

And don't forget chupacabras.

I find that odd that I like listening to Tool, some Jane's Addiction, first Metallica, and some other angry stuff, too, to relax.  Just clip on the earbuds, crank it up, and tune out.

Oh, I know!  I even thought it was pushing buttons but I was not biting or even getting upset.

BTW, I'm a MUCH happier person now that the pressure of the race is over!  I don't get worked up on BT anymore.

Great thing about New Years at a ski resort is to call it an early night and get the morning runs before the hangover crowd storms the slopes. Snow is fresh and no lift lines until 1:00 when you can quit for a late lunch and a beer.
