Whoops, forgot about a funeral I have to go to on Sunday.  That would of been really terrible of me if I missed it.

Good Morning, Ghoulies!  We have rolled around to another Friday!!

I had something to be at after work Wednesday, Thursday, and again tonight.  Also have an extra event on Sunday.  I am sure looking forward to Saturday!  I had a meeting on Tuesday also, but since it was optional, I chose to opt out!  I am not used to be out until 8:30 or 9:00 so many nights in a row!  I guess I am getting old.

Yeah for Caleb at his game.  So glad he is having fun.

How did practice go for Keri?  Is she feeling better and able to do her restricted practice?  Do you find the coach to be cooperative with that?

Hello.....

Seems the Ghoulies have moved to Facebook. I am not a fan. Though, I expect it is easier for folks with phones. I just don't carry my phone everywhere. I must be the only person in the world who does not use my phone at all at home.

Today is the last rush to get packed and ready to go on vacation tomorrow. It isn't Maui but it is still a vacation. The house sitter arrives tonight. Yippee!

Good morning Ghoulies!

Another run all over southern PA weekend. Keri had basketball games an hour away on Saturday, and Sunday. I had to come into the office yesterday to replace a failed part. I was able to come in and get that done and get home JUST in time to go with the family to the basketball game.

After taking most of last week off I did let Keri play this weekend. There is NOBODY tougher than that kid. NOBODY. She is usually the smallest kid on the court, and she takes a beating, but she keeps on playing. The team they played on Saturday we lost to a few weeks ago at home. We knew they were bigger, we knew they played dirty, the girls were ready. Three of our girls were punched in the sternum but the same player, 2 of them came out of the game, Keri wouldn't. She was fouled 5 times, should have been more, but the refs didn't call a lot of stuff. We were winning the game by 4 with just over a minute to play. The other coach started yelling at his girls to foul. That is a strategy that is used at times, this was not the right situation for it because of the bonus situation, they wouldn't have been shooting fouls, blah blah blah. One of their girls shoots, misses, we get the rebound. Keri sprints down court, the girl who rebounded saw her and threw the ball down to her. A girl on the other team runs up to Keri, crosses her arms in front of her, and just plows Keri to the ground. TECHNICAL FOUL!!! I almost jumped out of the bleachers. Keri missed her foul shots, no biggie, we got the ball back because of the technical. We held them off to win 28-24. YEAH BABY!

Yesterday we were down in the same area, but at a different school. It was a tough game, and we lost by 2. Keri, and another girl are the main ball handlers. There is another girl that can handle the ball, but she really doesn't have any speed. Near the end of the game the other ball handler fouled out, so it was up to Keri. She rocked. She had no problem beating their full court press. With less than a minute on the clock she raced down the court with the ball, not passing it off to her teammates like she normally does, she pushed through a girl trying to block her to get off an ugly, off-balanced shot that SWOOSHED right in the basket. We were within 2. Our girls tried hard for the win, but just couldn't pull it off. We play them again at home in a few weeks. Keri already told me that they will win the next time. I have no reason to doubt her.

Caleb had no games this weekend, but he has school games Mon, Tue, Thurs this week, and rec league game on Sunday. Another busy week.

I am way more attached to my phone than I should be.

Well hello Kendra

What are you doing the last weekend in March? It looks like I'll be in the Lake Lure area with the family.

I'd like to thank you all for this award. You know, it is an honor just to be nominated...

I did have to almost beat the husband with the butter sock this weekend.

On Friday before I took Keri to practice he told me that I needed to let her do a full practice, let her scrimmage. He said she needs to get used to taking those hits. Um... no. She doesn't. You don't get used to taking hits to the head.

He tried to pull the same thing on Saturday. She WAS taking a beating, and he said that she needed to toughen up. I told him to go back to his cave. She really does get the crap beat out of her. Before she got in the shower last night she showed me her arms, she had 8 scratches, at least 1" in length, on her arms. They were all from the game earlier in the day. She has bruises on her arms and legs. She keeps on playing. Other girls were coming off the court in tears, not her. It shouldn't have to be like that, but the schools from the bigger areas are always physical, we know that.

I'm not kidding when I say nobody is tougher than that kid.

Yes. We are going to drive down to Knoxville, TN on Friday and spend the night. On Saturday afternoon we are going to watch a UT softball game, then after the game drive to Robin's and spend the night. We are going to stay and play on Sunday, then head home on Monday. At least that's the plan right now.

I need to update the spreadsheet for the Ab challenge. I did fall behind this weekend though. DOUBLE SESSION OF ABS IN THE 12 FREE MINUTES I HAVE TODAY!!!

Kendra, How did you like your running group?

Ann, be careful on doing to many reps. I missed a day and just carried on from there rather than try to double up. What ever works, just don't get hurt.

I am off to go to PT.
