Speaking of puppies.  I went to the vet to get my dogs their routine bordetella shots, and rabies vacine.  60 bucks, tops.  I brought up a couple issues, and 535 bucks later, found my little girl dog has a bladder stone.  MAYBE they can disolve it, but it could be a 2k surgery....

I love dogs and I want to do what I can for them.  But they are not people...  I guess I have to drop the 2k, but dayum, that sucks...

Holy cow, that sucks.

Funny thing is that Vets say that they are smarter than MD due to the fact that their patients dont talk.  I may have to agree with them, but it makes them able to charge a lot more.  I wonder if the new health care is going to affect pet docs as well...

I have to laugh.  I can't BELIEVE I spent an hour yesterday defending myself about being NICE/POLITE!  Really?  we have to do that?

Next I suppose I will have to defend supporting the troops, helping an old lady across the street, saving a puppy from the shelter, or volunteering at a soup kitchen...

I got called mean and miserable this week?  I am a lot of things, these....I just do not think are a correct.

Wow, that's not real nice...

Not trying to be a one upper here, but if it makes it any better I hear this (and a few other names) everynow and then from a person that it should not come from.  Sometimes I think maybe I am miserable (due to circumstance), BUT mean never

Yeah do ya'll remember my parents' dog who had the back surgery earlier this year? Something happened with his bladder nerves or what not and he will be wearing a diaper for the rest of his life... yeah $3K+ later and has to wear a diaper. Sucks.

Well, I don't think that.

I have been called nasty things as well.  I also think they are unfounded.  Because I think I'm supper nice and caring.  But I do have bad moments.  And if caught in those moments - they may think otherwise.  Can't blame them for their perceptions...  OR, they are just lunitics!

But like they say.  Can't please all the people, all the time.

Truf...  Even if to say something as innocuous as "I like sunny days"...  Someone will want to argue.

I have been using a lot of 50cent words these days....  comeuppance and perfunctory are my two faves so far.

The dog in the picture to the left cost me $2500 to get a metal plate inserted in a leg she broke earlier this year. A few years ago she got caught chasing a cat under a fence and ripped the skin across her back- another $1500. I've spent more on the dogs healthcare the last 4 years than the whole family's combined. Welcome to my world...

I know, but what can you do?  I guess if I lived on the farm, I could "old yell'er" them...  But  you don't want to see them suffer.  And you can't ignore it, and can't put them down for a simple bladder stone (not that I would WANT to).

If it was a kid, I would drop the 2k without batting an eye...  But writting a check for 2k for a dog I will probably be doing begrudgingly.

Teejaay - 2012-11-28 11:06 AM It's hard to decorate for the upcoming holiday that i don't care about when it's 80+ degrees out....and I have my "laying out by the pool wear" on under my clothes. It just seems wrong. But my daughter wants the tree and outdoor lights and such.

Want to trade?  Its a chilly 38degrees here, but at least it is sunny.
