I really just need to stay in The Village.

The (pick 3 negative adjectives) people and attitudes in other forums is maddening.

I hope I'm never that perfect, I think it would be too stressful.

Morning Ghoulies.

We had a GREAT time at the fire pit last night. Just a couple of people and my step son, who is home for a couple of days from Panama. the sun came out and then the stars were out in their full glory. We lit a few Sky lanterns since there is NO danger of fires. This am, the sun went away again, but I got enough sun to power my solar cells for a while

Ahhh Ann, you are ever the hopeful one, thinking that people will play nice. You KNOW that there are a bunch of idiots in the world that LOVE to prove that they are over and over and over again.

I fear that my 5'8" 13 year old may be hitting a growth spurt.

Sunday he ate all day, then went to bed really early and overslept yesterday morning.

Last night he had a huge dinner. Donnie made a beef roast, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, and crescent rolls. There were no leftovers. After dinner he grabbed a handful of cookies, then a bowl of pretzels, and said he was hungry. He ate the last muffin. He was back in my bedroom with me playing games on the ipad and said he was tired, and hungry. It was only 7:00. He went out to the kitchen and ate a banana and an apple. Then he made some popcorn. I put some popcorn chicken in the oven, I'm not a fan of a beef roast, and they ate while I was working out anyway. He ate his popcorn, and was still hungry. He ate half of the popcorn chicken I made. Then he went to bed at 8:40, which is early for him.

I'm going to have to start feeding him hay from the barn. He may have to sleep out there, too.

YEP, growth spurt on the way. Good thing you have the barn, you will need it. I bet if you listen close, you can hear his bones stretch!

This is why when last month he was down to 2 pairs of jeans that fit I refused to buy him anymore until next Fall. If I bought him pants then he'd have worn them for 2 weeks, started wearing shorts, and the pants would never fit him again.

That is the era that we bought all the boys pants at the Goodwill. You could get jeans/Khakis for a couple of bucks and they were good for the few weeks he could wear them.

Good Morning, Ghoulies.

After a weekend spent outside that included mowing the lawn and a major brushing of the dog, my allergies have roared to life the last couple of days.  Yesterday I slept in instead of going for a run.  Today is a little better.  I plan to swim this afternoon.  Maybe the chlorine will clean out my system.

I am off to see the foot doctor that I was supposed to see back in January. Maybe the silly thing can be fixed. I'll be back by later today.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I am home sick today. Yesterday after work I stopped and bought a few more strawberry plants, then planted them in the rain when I got home.

I got all comfy in my chair for my nap, and when I woke up I was having wonky heart rate. I had it the rest of the night, and this morning. I'm also feeling a little upset in the stomach.

It is cloudy but not raining. The DOT was out in force cleaning up all the rock and land slides. Someday folks will really learn that erosion control measures are there for a reason.... gravity works!

Hello Ghoulies.  I've got a bit of catching up to do.

Got on the treadmill the other night and at a mile it slipped and about threw me off.  We just had it worked on for that problem.  I'm not a happy camper because they charge $100 just to come to your house and that does not count parts, etc.  Grrrr.  Last time they came and charged the $100 and were there 5 minutes to tell me they would have to order a part.  Then when the part came in they charged me another $100 to come back out to install it along with the cost of the part.  And now it is doing the same thing, but it is after their 30 day warranty.  Problem is they are about the only ones out there.  That's why they can get away with it.  GRRRRRRR!

It has been an awful week at work.  I really wish there were some jobs that would open up nearby that I could apply for.  I am getting really frustrated.  Had to reprimand my Assistant Branch Manager.  Had to reprimand and warn one of my staff.  She was late 4 times in 5 days.  She has been late 20 times in the last 6 months.

Now I have another staff that we think might be on drugs, drunk or has a health issue.  How do you figure that one out.  We don't do drug testing.  Wish we did.  I have three things noted for her in the past three days and I have a customer who is very upset due to this staff person.

On a bright note, I am looking forward to the Electric Run this Saturday evening.  I plan on taking pictures and will post if any come out good.
