Hey Peeps,

I was looking at our logs to see if there was unreported rides to add to the spreadsheet. In comparing the totals on our spreadsheet to the totals on our logs and found some errors of overstatement. By correcting them we've lost a bit of ground. Please double check everything and let me know if I botched it!

Including today (for those of you in western time zones) we have 5 days left in the challenge. Let's all hit our goals (or die trying )

Hey there I have 4 hrs 20 min biking, which you have but also 5 hrs 15 minutes of spin class for March which I thought counted. Looks like my times been reduced to the actual outside riding time. Did I mess up? Hope not, pretty sure I'm not going to be getting in 3 hrs 40 minutes bike time outside. Let me know, I may have to beg mercy from Cat. Karen
WHEW, I checked and it looks like spin class counts, so my total for March should be 9.58 hours instead of 4.33 YEAH! Let me know if you want me to change it back. thanks!

No, that would be my error. Have you added it back to the spreadsheet?

"Bollocks", I love that term!

Sorry, I've just got to get this off my chest. Three gold medals & two World records by the GB team at the World Track Cycling Championships today. Woo Hoo! Just bring on the Olympics.

Anyone got the cash for one of those beauties?

Did you see the pursuit boys getting their presentation???

Four good reasons not to wear white cycle shorts... all though the girls may disagree...

No, I fast forwarded through the medal ceremonys. I had to get through 3 1/2 hours worth last night. I'm assuming their lunchboxes were showing up pretty well then. White shorts in cold weather wouldn't show me up in a very good light then would it! This is the best pic. I can get girls but if you look close enough.... All swinging to the left I believe.

hi two things:

Anyone got the cash for one of those beauties?

1.) not sure what beauties you are speaking of...but I am thinking the boys!?!?

Four good reasons not to wear white cycle shorts... all though the girls may disagree...

2) I disagree big time!...like those boys in white shorts...yup like them indeed!

From my blog this am:

I didn't ride home from work yesterday because A:  I didn't get done till nearly 5.30pm. And that's too late for me to leave.  I don't have lights on my bike.

B: My stomach was in such a knot all day yesterday and sure enough at 4am this morning I was puking my guts up. Obviously from SOMETHING I've eaten.  My arse is sore too, won't go into too much detail. It's now 9.24am and I've just gotten back up and I'm having a cup of tea and I feel a tad better. No fever or anything which is good, so it's just tummy related.  I can't afford to get sick before my bloody trip. I was planning on a short ride today but you know what. It's snowing!!!   I'm not going to force myself to exercise though just because of a challenge, sorry but if I make myself worse I won't have any fun on my trip.  Sorry team Peep Jousters.

I've let you all down. Sorry. It's ok though. I won't be doing any April challenges so you're all safe

as much as we would like to see you get that hour on the bike...be careful and do not overdo...we would rather see you heal and be ready to rumble for next weeks challenge! but of course if you can....pedal, pedal, PEDAL! good luck!

and the countdown to you leave is _______ many days?

Hey folks,

So this morning, 40 minutes into a planned hour on the trainer and I hear a high pitched whine, whir and clunk. The resistance roller thing on the trainer that goes against the tire FUSED. It will not move or rotate forward or backward. My trainer I think is cashed, finally. No biggie, its gotta be 10 yrs+ old--I got it 3 yrs ago at a garage sale for $5.

BUT, I am 80 minutes shy of my 10 hour goal right now. Tomorrow's supposed to be 30 and dry--if thats the case, can ride outside (havent since Thanksgiving!!). If not, guess I have to sit my on a spin bike Monday 3-31 at the club for a while! Either way, I will get to 10 hours.....

Oh well, have a good weekend everyone.

Hi all!

It looks like I'll be using the trainer to finish up my miles this weekend, but it will get done, so don't worry about me.  Rumor has it that it may clear up and I can actually ride outdoors....cross fingers!

I am having some hormone issues this week so don't make me mad!  Finally weaning the youngest and am almost done, almost!!  He's not happy about it but I am not giving in this time.  The side effects for me are mood swings from not getting my doses of oxytocin and my normally ample bosom is way more ample than usual so I don't feel like myself (yes, I know the boys will say they will be happy to feel me to be sure, beat ya to it.)  In addition to that, my foot is still sore (foot doc on Monday) and now my problem shoulder is stiff.  I hope it's all hormones and once this is over with I feel better than ever!!

Chicago: Sorry to hear about the trainer malfunction, but it seems you got your money's worth!

Chris and 4Ever: Yes, the roads here in Sammamish are all numbered, and yes, it is annoying!! There are some towns where the NE streets connect with the NE Avenues of the same numbers, and it becomes really hard to make any sense of it.  In the larger cities there are streets with names, mostly of trees and presidents, and some native american names.

I've hit the wall:  I can't have a coherent thought right now.  Time for more coffee. Bye!

Hey Nicole why are you not posting pics of your bikes. BLING. Blue tape, blue tyres & red tape, red tyres. Very nice. Now if you can just get someone to take a photo of you squatting behind the bike with one hand on the bars & one hand on the saddle, like the pros show their's off we'll know your a real rider.

And CHR15 that Litespeed of yours. Jesus man, how's your back? Guys, he's got a pro's setup. Arse in the air and bars almost on the wheel. I wouldn't be able to walk for a week if I dropped my bars that low. Did you get any names for it. Personally I think it should be named 'The Cat'. (Due to cute little piece of sculpture by the side of it). Is that pic as new or do you always keep it that clean?

He's too modest to put a pic up (he did do a link though). I've taken the liberty.

Weather's good for early tomorrow morning. Might get an hour or so in.
