We haven't seen much of each other for the past week. I was gone Thu-Mon. Took him out for his birthday dinner on Tue and haven't seen him since until tonight. (Well, we were sleeping in the same place for the last couple of nights, but that is all.) Okay I just opened the door wide open for you Beth. TTFN Good night Kendra! |

I've been wondering the same thing - seems like race season has started - so not as much interest in challenges I don't know what the history has been There are usually still challenges. Cat did her Tour de France in July and that's pretty much the peak of race season. I think it comes down to the normal people not wanting to run another challenge right now and no one new deciding to do it. |

There is no way I could commit to running a challenge with my current schedule - it just wouldn't be good - well, I wouldn't feel good about it because I wouldn't be able to put the energy it needs and deserves

Pro 4541 A farming town in MN | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XV) - come join us :) kns57 - 2008-04-25 8:11 PM Tomorrow we are going to one of the local shoe stores. Mizuno shoes will be there with their trailer. Thought we would check it out since we know I need to find a pair of shoes that won't agrivate my PF. Any of you wear Mizunos? I've run Mizunos before and liked them, but I've got flat feet, and their fit wasn't as suited to wide feet as New Balance and Asics... Try the Road Runner site. They've got a shoe selector site that's pretty helpful. Have fun shopping! |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XV) - come join us :) Morning, Nibbs! Happy weekend! Younger Monkey seems to be no worse the wear from yesterday's bead experience. Soccer for Elder Monkey (and picture day) this morning...hoping to hit the road for a long run this afternoon...long ride tomorrow (weather is supposed to be nicer then). Oh, and I should get in the pool so I don't let my Atoms down. Hey, it's a long time until Wednesday and I don't have to teach next week...I'll get-er-done. |

I'm headed to the gym for my bike spin/run brick - will go back later today to do the swim hmmmmm, going to the gym twice in one day and not feeling guilty - does that count as self indulgence?

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XV) - come join us :) I was thinking long run and core endurance today but my back is tight so it might be a medium run, core endurance and HOT TUB time. Lots of errands to run and the house is FILTHY. Biking tomorrow to take advantage of the sunshine! Kristen, do you want to meet up at West Creek or something? Other option for a closed loop but lots of hills is Petersburg Battlefield which is convenient for me but way out of your end of the world. We could also do the race loop for Shady Grove, it just isn't as nice when its open to traffic. Edited by zipp1 2008-04-26 7:45 AM |

(Or look for a new job....???) It's Saturday. It's beautiful outside. But here I am, "werking" again.... Hi Dee I vote for the 'look for a new job' option - that way you will have time to train hang in there! This coming week is going to be really crazy. EVERYONE knew that. So when do they want to schedule interviews? Yep - this week. I asked them to wait two additional days, so that we can meet our deadlines, and then people would actually have time to concentrate on the interviews.... They just shrugged and ignored me. (Actually, I got a pretty hissy reply, but that's another story.) Plus, they changed the interview committee. The people originally named made sense to me. But now it's all different. The result is that I'll be the only one there who understands the technical side of the job. (Although, I now hear that only two applicants have the required qualifications. Maybe the committee will opt to just flip a coin.) This place USED to make sense to me. Now, it's just gotten.... strange. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XV) - come join us :) I have a confession to make here: I am a running snob. I got on the treadmill today and hated it. In fact I hated it so much that I walked away after a 1/2 mile run. I have gone from tready w/ ipod to outside with ipod to just let me outside in the past 6 months. Very interesting observation and progression... |
