I'll be inspiring in everyone's logs when I get a free moment tomorrow (with special yays to Shawn on his tri and Dolores on that super hot photo!). I was out of town this weekend for a family wedding in San Diego. It was lovely, and of course there were the usual extended-family antics. My uncle will never, ever learn that family reunions do not mix well with politics (especially when he's ultra-conservative and I'm, well, I live in Berkeley). Thanks for the well wishes on the job front! I've mentioned that I'm a newspaper reporter, right? Well basically, I'm being moved from covering health and fitness (which I've loved writing about) to City Hall, where I'll be covering the mayor. As in, the mayor of San Francisco. So yeah, kind of a big deal. *g* I'm definitely counting on using running as a major stress outlet. |

I go through cycles at work where I have time and then don't. It seems with my increased level of workouts that even my time at home has been cut down. Crazy! It seems like everyone is keeping busy with racing and real life! Congrats to all on races, new jobs and the such. I will do my best to start checking in regularly. Positive Thought of The Day: Last Saturday I did my longest ride ever and I've got three weeks under my belt of a pretty challenging workout plan. I'm not hitting target every week, but I'm working hard and the seven months of rust and PT are starting to melt away. It's nice to see that in the mirror and on the scale. I hope everyone has a good day! |
