There's a shocker. I asked for bacon on my burger last night at my local and the cook, a friend of mine, hooked me the eff up. He must've put 8 slices of bacon and that fugger. NOM NOM NOM!

Slow people shouldn't be allowed to race. They just use up resources and drive up entry fees.

Then you really should work on you swimming if you want to race again.

Just got back from the Doctors office. The leg brace is off! Woo Hoo! Now it's 4more weeks of physical therapy.

I'm seriously considering it since I had so much fun last year.

I'ma do it, esp since I have a free place to stay across the lake. Where was the swim? In the lake I assume?

Lake Ponchartrain. It's pretty gross. But I train in Lake Michigan so it didn't bother me.

I'd be more worried about swimming in any of the rivers down there. The lake probably isn't bad, considering.

Might get me a little coaching while I'm at it. I can use a good kick-in-the-arse now and then...

Nah you'll be fine in the lake. That time of year, I hear, there are no gators, just river rats, and they scatter when a couple thousand people hit the water. Bacteria might get ya, though.

I grew up not far from there. I'm already immune to all that stuff.

That actually wasn't too bad, for a rust-belter. I'm gonna bring the gf down and take her on a swamp tour. Those are pretty fun. I can show you some REAL restaurants, too.

Naw my best friend in basic training was from N'awlins and he was Cajun through and through. He'd always sing this stupid song that goes `When y'all come t' New AWWlins, then y'all come to MAHDEE GRAW.' and just sing it over and over and over until I would say `Boudreaux, seriously, shut the f*** up.' And he'd be all `TDawg you actin' like ol' paw paw.' and go right back to singing.

That sounds about right.

The swamp tour would be in addition to all the proper NO sightseeing, of course.

I'm seriously going insane with boredom right now...
