Oh, and not a fan of the new college football rules. I put a lot of thought into it and bet the under (51.5) on the UNLV and Minn game last night. I was counting my money when it was late in the fourth quater and the score was 13 -10... Can't lose! But wait. Field goal ties it, and the new overtime rule, they exchange TD's (which they couldn't score ALL GAME) untill it was 30-27 and I lose... THAT'S why I don't bet sports... |

I lost the over/under on one of the 16-1 seed games in the NCAA's a few years ago on a doesn't-mean-sh$t-over-the-shoulder-no-look-layup-as-time-was-running-out shot, which is why I only bet on sports when in Vegas with my high school buddies and am compensated for my losses "the time it takes me to just about break even, might have been up or down a little" with free drinks and good times. |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: TAN #180 Degrees (Turn Around, Every Now and Then) Well, made my parting shot and I'm NOT going back in there. I'm not going to say it's the case THIS time, but arguing with extreme people, even if you make a rock solid case or call out flaws in theirs, they can't even acknlowedge your point. Then it's time to quit. I think there are holes/flaws in just about every arguement. If presented with those, I will conceed there is a flaw, but still hold fast in my belief. But if I couldn't even recognize them, there's a problem. It also leaves the blinders on and I don't work to improve my case by fixing the flaws, if that makes sense. I like when people find errors. Then I fix them, and the next time around, have a response! |
