Why is it every single guy I propose to turns me down? I even offered blanket marriage on BT--twice--and though lots of awesome women have stepped up to the plate, not a guy. This is a mystery.

I was thinking about how very little I know about you (funny huh?) and how many questions I wanted to ask ... strange, during your part of the run I was RIGHT NEXT to the sea, I mean literally 30cm away and down there were waves crashing on rocks, and as I looked out over the wild, angry water I thought, the next thing is Australia. I thought about the view from Cape Town and how from there on out it's nothing but ... Antarctica.

I dig that your handle is LiveStrong. I admit it, I like Lance. and I love LiveStrong. I'm also excited about meeting you in November (right now I'm deeply hurt, but I'll get over it).

Orange looks terrible on me, and I'm mocha, not peach. but I LOVE peaches and cream. (dairy, unless it is to be used on or near a human).

What do you do for a living? How'd you end up in Wilmington? (I was truly thinking of this on the run ... I was wondering if you were Southern?) Will you call me ma'am?

Finally, and maybe I shouldn't say this, but sometimes you really annoy me. I couldn't figure out why, and then I realized ... it's because you remind me of me. And the bottom line is, you're ALL HEART and that's a wonderful thing. I am way too friendly and enthusiastic and when others (i.e. you) are, sometimes it's just too much bounce.

And it's also why I'm often really inexplicably fond of you. Just my ego. Ha. No, really ... you do liven things up so much around here ... and my life, too.

You never notice the small changes.  It takes someone who doesn't see you on a daily basis to notice things like that.  Still to this day (I'm one who is still on his weight loss journey), even if I see someone in 2-3 weeks, and only lose 3-4 lbs, they claim that they notice changes.  It always feels good, though, because I am often feeling a little down when I don't notice changes.  When they do, though, it makes it all worth while
