I came super close to deleting my FB account.  And the only reason I tweet, is because the accounts are linked in my phone, so post to one, it goes to the other as well.

FB has a resurgence as now I post all my artsy fartsy stuff on it.

If I had to do that I would shoot myself, people really need to be more busy or TAN :-)

Morning TAN

Monday night went to sleep thinking about watching the sun come up from top of Half Dome.

Last night I was thinking arms relaxed, pull with forearm, elbow high... 

At least I went to sleep either way.

Any excitement this morning?

Yep and on the iPad it bury stuff from some people but it will show me every single post from others.

a day is a unit of time=24 hours, a week is a unit of time, 7days @24 hours

If I was in a coma, no one would say I was in a coma for 908 hours, they would say 6 weeks, which is a unit of time

Nope you are not the only one.  I maybe check FB once a day usually.

Yeah the only reason it is that often is cause I usually go outside and read on my iPad, after I get home, before I go to bed and the app is right there.

I keep linked in mostly for professional contacts. FB is for friends and fun, LI is for work.

Right. But even people I meet one time through work want to connect on LinkedIn. 

the fact that you have someone on your linked-in, does not mean you recommend the person. The way I see it, the more people I have on linked-in, the higher the possibility of me getting to the person I want to get through common contacts. So for me, "opening the flood gates" was more of a selfish way of extending my circle.

oooooooh...with those two this morning, I can only imagine what your afternoon will be like. Maybe a neighbor will invite you over to their dungeon. Well, that might be an improvement.

Generally if we only met once and don't have any real business relationship I don't accept the invitation. Conversely, I won't accept FB requests from business associates unless I also consider them a friend, which does happen but is rare. Of course, I've got friends on FB that I haven't seen or talked to in over 30 years. Go figure.

Interesting. Very different though process to the one I've employed  - I need to consider that. The issue I see with that approach is that I can use the network to reach someone but how do I figure out if someone I trust trusts them?

But again, THEY told you the time that passed.  Not the calendar.  So the person was the one who measured/tells you the time that passed.  Not the calendar.

Difficult. I guess your only way is to see who he/she is being recommended by or linked with. If its someone you trust, then great. If not, approach with caution. But at least you got a chance of making the contact in the first place.

Having said that, if you want to reach a specific person on a company (sales manager/HR/etc), for your benefit, then as long as you get a way in, how you got it matters less. I don't think of linked-in as a way to recommend people, but as a way of reaching people that I want to contact that are outside my normal circle of friends.

I check FB a couple of times a day to see if a daughter has posted any pictures.  I was rewarded today.  G2 uploaded a bunch of stuff from 2011.  She is almost caught up to current.  FB makes it easy to share pictures.  I am hooked on that.

I wonder about the Top Story sorting thing. It really doesn't work for me. I just switch it back to Most Recent.

I also check for humor.  I have some funny cousins.  Here is today's quote from one cousin from Muehlenburg Writer's Center, "The Past, the Present, and the Future walked into a bar.  It was tense."
