Artemis - 2013-03-19 1:46 PM Oh, Yanti, can you PM me an address so I can send Mutti a package?

I have to ask the dumbest question ever.... who is Mutti?

Yanti's mum.

So Yanti's mentioned Mutti numerous times over the past week since her dad passed, but I notice it wasn't until she mentioned that Mutti had the BEST BOOBs did he ask who she was. LOL.

LMFAO... just a coincidence, I promise.    I was waiting, hoping that it would become obvious, and I wouldn't have to ask.

jobaxas - 2013-03-20 1:27 PM So house pest left while I was at OWS last night. Yay!!! I know I wasn't a gracious host but she had a bed free use of computer and phone she was catered for an I did all her laundry and ran her around as she doesn't have a car yet. Is it wrong to expect a 'thank you for having me'?

Wow - some people are just _________________

I don't know if any of you read Fat Cyclist on a regular basis but if you don't, you're missing some funny stuff.

At any rate, I really enjoyed his latest blathering so here you go:  http://www.fatcyclist.com/2013/03/20/fatty-vs-the-hammer-a-thought-experiment/

Some of it is quite good. Thanks a bunch, he is now on the list of folks to read on occasion.

Wow. I  need to work with you...

We are in Denver this weekend so, once again, I am going to attempt to make it to the Starbucks at the flagship REI and try the Clover coffee!!!!!!!!

Be careful. The Clover coffee is addictive.  Also note that you can get ANY coffee Starbucks has, not just what they are brewing currently.

Addictive isn't a problem as Denver has the closest Clover machine. Undecided

amd723 - 2013-03-20 11:43 AM I am having a bad day this am when pulling into a parking spot I had a brain fart and bumped the car next to me. Got out and checked damage - none to my car and only an area that I was able to wipe away on the other car. YaY. However, as I sat in my office I decided I didn't look hard enough at the other car, so I went back out and found a scratch. Crap. I had a deputy run the tag in hopes that the person worked for us, no luck. My agency building shares a parking lot with a strip mall and let's just say it is not the highest class. We routinely have arrests in the parking lot, so I am concerned about the quality of person I will be dealing with. Thankfully, the deputy took lots of pictures so there can be no doubt what condition the car was in ( if the owner takes a bat to her own car, I'll know!). I then left a note and my business card on the front window. Now I get to wait for the call. Once, years ago, someone t- boned me, but that is my only time having to deal with accident stuff. I am not looking forward to the experience, although I will suggest the owner get a couple of estimates and if within her insurance deductible I will pay ( or partially pay). I'm kind of hoping she thinks the envelope I left is junk and tosses it . Or the rain we are forecasted to have ruins the note but, it's my fault and my conscience would not let me just move my car or leave a note that said something like, " I hit your car, sorry. I'm not leaving my name, but everyone watching thinks I am! I think my sleep deprivation has caught up to me!

Some of you may recall when I was in Houston about this time last year and had a car accident. It was on a busy Houston freeway offramp and I was on official business and driving a rental car. I called the police and when they showed up a few minutes later I gave my side of the story to one of the officers while the other talked to the driver of the other car. Well the other car was pretty beat up before the accident and, of course, didn't have insurance. The officer laughed at him when he tried to blame much of his damage on this altercation. So the officer writes a report calling it shared responsibility or something like that and we go on about our way, after he makes sure I know how to get back to my hotel. Nice guy. Anyway, a couple weeks later I get a call from a woman who says she is the owner of the car and that her boyfriend was driving it and she wanted my insurance information. I explained to her that it was a rental car on official business and that she will be dealing with the US Treasury for any insurance claim. Never heard from her again.

LOL, that's funny.I do have good news, the owner called me, said the damage was pre- existing ( another parking lot incident where the other person did not leave a note) and that I'm good, don't worry about it. I feel so much better!

I keep telling myself I need to work on the engine before I even think about a new bike. But, but, but my roadie and my tri bike are both Craigslist deals and a shiny NEW bike would be so motivating, right? RIGHT?

DOOO EEET!!!

I agree and seriously if you have put the work in for an IM then you deserve it and if you can afford to do it without too much financial discomfort then why not?

(By the way the Manatee lullaby didn't work now I have the Barbra Manatee song in my head, I can't remember who posted that back in thread one, but it will be stuck there all day. I need coffee cause me on less than four hours sleep is not a good thing.)

I might be able to make one of those.  There may be a surprise party happening that weekend for someone's 50th bday, but might not happen til 2 weeks later.  Still planning.
