OK..I give...Who is the coolest band from the 80's/90's?
Uncle Tupelo. Who else could do a country version of "Now I Wanna Be Your Dog" by the Stooges? (Or was it just iggy pop? I'm not that smart.)

For a while they were billed as Iggy and the Stooges, used to see them live in high school.

All the tea in China?  She's an Angel by Van Morrison.

Sorry Pooh Bear. I have recurring nightmares. That and the Partridge Family.

Here's a replacement...

And I can’t get it out of my head,
No, I can’t get it out of my head.
Now my old world is gone for dead
Cause I can’t get it out of my head.

Here we go...three lines from three different songs.

1) "went through my bags like McCartney in Japan"

2) "Maybe I shuold turn around, maybe i should stop, maybe I should turn around.........speeding back to my baby"

3) "it was a red sun rising early in this ghetto, it was a full moon rising late last night"

A hint for you.....one of the bands is Australian.

I grabbed my hat...and I grabbed my coat

I ran into the street...I met a man that was choking there...

I guess he couldn't breathe....

Actually, what I found frightening about this song was, I remember back in the 8 track days listening to it in my parents car as we drove around, I was a carefree little kid, and I thought it was a happy song...Then revisiting the song years later and you listen to the lyrics....talk about shattering childhood memories.

Wow this is turning into a great thread..except, now, I too have Seasons in the Sun stuck in my head.

Alright, alright... I said I was sorry!

OK I admit it was a nasty thing to do. And in reality I was maliciously trying to snare a Bear. Instead I caught a Pooh Bear.

At least I didn't post the Barry Manilow lyrics.

So am I allowed to stay on the fourm?

Yes, but first you must spend four hours detention in the Wham Room.

Wake me up before you go go...

One Hit Wonder:

"When will we share precious moments? Will I have to suffer forever? Will I have to cry the whole night through?"
"When will our hearts beat together? Are we in love or just friends? Is this the beginning, or is it the end?"

Hint: The same young ladies that did this tune also appeared in a night club scene in the academy award winning film "The French Connection" starring Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. Maybe you can get the name of the tune, the REAL nut case out there will know the name of the group too!

ummm.....if you Googled, you cheated!

Yep. Not the most inventive of names. One of those songs that gets stuck in your head unmercifully.
