Veteran 340 | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread TGIF!!!! Man one week down and three more to go! I have only done 13.45 miles this week, but don't fret I will get runners legs soon. Today was a short run, I am pretty sure a turtle could have done passed me up, but I kept moving! I have spent as much time shoveling snow this week as I have ran..thats just sick. Have a happy FRIDAY! K |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread Wow, you guys are QUIET. I was offline for two days. I got back, thinking there'd be no way I could catch up with the "team threads." But here you are - still on the same page.... You guys better talk more. Otherwise, I'll have to make stuff up for next week's Challenge Update. |

Veteran 164 Brrr-mont | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread Hi everyone, it looks like I'm not the only one who hasn't had time for BTing...I actually feel guilty for not being able to post. I managed to mildly twist my ankle while out running...the roads are SUCH a mess this time of year...blech, but I'd rather be outside than on the treadmill....I think I've got it under control with Vitamin M (Motrin) and a support...it's not as touchy as it was. Got a run planned for tomorrow, so hoping to up my mileage. Gonna take it slow and careful. Hope everyone is doing well, looks like we've been pretty quiet...maybe the weekend will change that! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread Please remember that this month, the Challenge "reporting week" will end on Saturdays. Please update your Google Spreadsheet with your progress by Saturday night (your local time). I'll post the team standings on Sunday. If you have trouble using the spreadsheet, please let your team captain know so that he/she can help. Have a great weekend! And don't forget to SWIM, BIKE, RUN! Dee |

Master 1841 Sendai, Japan | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread HI everyone.....just checking in. I had a great week and am at 40% of my goal as of Saturday Japan time (numbers are already in the spreadsheet). My primary objective for February was to start running again and do so without knee pain. I'm slowly working running into my daily walks - now up to 700 strides. This approach is working well so far and I'm interested to see if I can keep it going for the whole month. The snow is coming down as I type so tomorrow morning should be fun. I love walking/running in the fresh snow. Of course, it gets ugly after that, but life is full of tradeoffs. Happy trails.... Dan

Veteran 228 Greenbelt, MD | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread Heya guys...well my toe is definitely good for running. Didn't even buddy tape it today and had no problems. Got another 2.86 (dang how I love my Garmin) in so I'm up to 5.37 miles, which according to the spreadsheet is 20% of my goal. Not bad seeing as that's after just 2 runs and I ended up skipping 2 runs in the last week thanks to time/stress/work and injury. I figured this morning as long as I average 2.5 miles I can meet my meager goal of 27 miles no problem. Anyway, hope everyone else is doing well. I noticed a few 0's on the spreadsheet and I hope it's just the fact that people are so busy working out they haven't had a chance to update it. Let's keep those frosted little legs a'movin folks Okay, more frosted for those of us with snow around (sadly not me) than for those of us without it. |

I got my long Saturday run in and am at 31/75 miles (don't worry - next week is a low week for me...I'm not that much of an overachiever). Hope everyone is having a great week. I will be logging in at the end of the day... i.e. 9 or 10 pm PST. So don't worry I have run it is just a matter of how much I will run today. I am already at 6 miles and will hopefully do 1-2 more today. I have a bike training thing I am going to do and then run later tonight. It is pretty wet today and the only way for me to run is to get to the gym. Not possible until after the boys basketball games. I WILL log my miles, I WILL run my goal I WILL I WILL Kimberly |

Extreme Veteran 484 El Cajon, Ca | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread I updated the spreadsheet this am. I am going to try for a nap time treadmill run. If I get one in, I will make the change. If not, I am all set for the week. I walked around Disneyland for five hours yesterday. I should have had my Garmin on to track my milage. I will have to do that next time! |

Veteran 340 | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread OK TEAM!! Happy Sat. I am no longer a goose egg on the spreadsheet. I have completed 34% of my goal at 13.45 miles. It was a tough week of training being I caught a bug from my kid. I biked this morning, I may have to go for a short run later today. Next week thankfully is a recovery week. Happy posting! K |

Spending some real time with my wife for the first time in about a month (due to her work schedule). Glad to let the legs have a couple days off from the "pounding". They felt just a tiny bit sore yesterday. I guess I could jump on the bike for a bit...... |

Regular 85 Eastside Seattle WA | Subject: RE: Gingerbread Joggers party & commiseration thread Well I am also not a big goose egg this month. I am officially at 17%. That may not seem like much to those of you will 40%+ but for me I am very pleased. I had a few setbacks including the beginnings of the flu on Friday, chills headache ect and pounded my body with herbal and Vitamin C stuff ( as well as ONE dose of NyQuil to be able to sleep) and woke up this morning just congested thank goodness. I just CAN NOT be sick right now. My kids and husband have been off nad on sick for 3 weeks and I can't STAND ANY MORE SICKNESS. I did a really intense ride on the trainer this afternoon. It was an hill interval workout caller Spinervals. My legs were DEAD afterward. I was planning on an easy run later in the evening but decided just to call it a day. I will be ready to hit the pavement again on Monday. I also have Meredith in preschool this week on Tuesday and Thursday so I will be able to log in some miles then. Thanks for the encouragement...I have run more since Jan 1 than I have since my last Tri in September!!! Wow, I sure did take a pretty big break but I am glad to be getting back into it. |
