I'm waiting until I get an issue fixed with my laptop before I get another spinnervals DVD. I use my laptop in the laundry room so I can set up the trainer in there and not get tire dust and sweat all over the carpet in the rooms with real DVD players. The only problem is that my DVD drive on the laptop moves too slowly (like putting a 45 rpm record on 33, for those of you old enough to remember records), so an 80-minute spinnervals DVD ends up being more like 100 minutes. There's nothing more discouraging than hearing Coach Troy say "only 20 seconds left!" and not being finished after 35 seconds has elapsed. Meanwhile, I'm wondering why my cadence seems a whole lot faster than those people on the DVD.

But I like the idea of simulating hills on the trainer with Coach Troy.

I drag a painting tarp in from the garage to put under the trainer.  My laundry room isn't big enough for the washer/dryer and litter box that are in there...Don't blame you for waiting though, I'd go nuts thinking I had just under a minute of something left but wound up doing more...

While I will also acknowledge that it has been quite, some of us have been working hard toward the goal! Loged in another 13.25 today! That brings the total up to 47.65 so far this week with 2 more scheduled rides...that is if the weather holds.

very nice riding.  I got 45 minutes on the drainer with my clunker and minimal coughing so the run is on tomorrow morning (happy dance time)

Technically an off day for me, but I couldn't help putting in 4 miles since I just got my first set up clipless pedals and shoes delivered today. A set of nice canon shoes and some nashar pedals that remind of me of look pedals. Keep up the great riding everybody!

I'll admit to being a little quiet this week. Just finished two very long days on the road followed by short nights. Was not able to get any workout in. Should be back home tomorrow night. I plan on getting a run on the hotel treadmill in the morning and am planning to get my regular spin class in on friday with a swim before hand.

Stay strong Spooky Cats!

Because in August, Florida has a daily thunderstorm, 99% humidity during a drought, and miserably hot temperatures, and in October, Florida has 97% humidity (ahh, relief!), miserably hot temperatures, and it's still hurricane season. If it makes you feel better, it's supposed to get down into the 30s this weekend in northeast Florida.

You all are making it so very, very hard not to go bike shopping!  I'm trying to wait until I have a tri or two under my belt (and a little more extra cash to throw around) before I get a new ride.  Must. Resist. Shiney. New. Toys.

Got another 20 miles in today. Should have taken an off day but will be very busy with work for the next few days and am not sure if I will be able to get much in for workouts. I really wish it was warmer here so I could get outside and ride though. Keep up all the great work guys.

Wow, I love the pictures of new toys! I, too, am one of those somewhat computer-impaired people, and would love to share a picture of my new ride.(but it takes me too long to get it right, I give up)...a beautiful Trek Pilot 2.1, all carbon speed machine. I've had it for less than a year, and it carried me through my first two tri's last summer. I can't wait for this ice and snow to go away so I can get outside and play. In the meantime, it's on my old bike on the trainer in the basement. Bleah....plan to be on that for an hour tonight.
Great riding everybody! You guys are inspiring!!

I had a hot date with coach Troy today, he kicked me in the butt with that time trial/triathlete set.  Definitely a good addition if anyone is looking for spinervals.

Mr Zippity do dah doesn't mind as long as it's on the DVD player only.  That video must be old, he looked like a college kid in that one! (not that he looks all that old now)

Go back in your logs, the song is there I think in January...

Ah bummer, so it's only a DVD....

And here I was, living vicariously through your active social life for a few minutes --- which turns out to be not such an active social life after all. LOL

Yep, the Zippity do Dah song is in my logs somewhere. But I think I have short term memory loss - all I ever remember (without looking it up again), is that intro portion.

Zippity-do.... Oh wait, I already sang it to you. Nevermind then.
