You are in Chikopiak.  Does anyone have regular names anymore?  Geesh I have to make a bigger spreadsheet to hold these l-o-n-g names

Roni:  My "real" goal was 155 with a 5 lb window and now I am at 150 with the same 5 lb window.  I wrestled in HS at about 150 so I am the same weight, just maybe not proportioned the same.

Let's hope it's not my ACL. That would be horrible news.

So what I've been doing at the pool is to go from about the 4 1/2 foot depth to the 3 foot end of the pool and try to experiment with every 2, 3 or 4 strokes. I can do it sometimes and sometimes I can't. I have a problem when I bring my head to the side that I will sometimes take water in and start to choke. I don't think I'm swimming too fast...maybe one stroke per second.

I will try to hold my breath underwater and see how that goes. Thanks

Try holding onto the side of the pool and putting your face in the water, as in kicking drills. And as suggested earlier time your head being under water, and bringing it back out. As you said you maybe opening your mouth too early allowing the water to rush in. I also agree with having someone sneek a peek at your technique. Perhaps a lifegaurd at the local Rec.

i146q - 2008-03-04 2:59 PMĀ  Have a contigency plan. Mine is I'm actually shooting for 1-2 lbs below my ideal/goal weight, that way if I gain the extra (water weight or whatever), I'll be right where I want to be.

Good idea! I just keep learning from you guys, and here I thought I knew everything about weight loss

I did too, until I found out your supposed to have fun somewhere in the middle of all this exercise.

SO another Wednesday has arrived and here it is:

last week: 71,8kg
this week: 71,5kg

I know my loss is minimal 0.3kg but that could have been expected after my "french fries accident". On the other hand the last weighing I was down 1,7kg so maybe it balances out this week. Also from the last time when I lost lots of weight I remember going below 70kg took me a lot of time. And I'm fitting into size 12 easily.

Nah it doesn't work I'm not happy with myself this week. ANd have an awful migrene from the minute I opened my eyes this morning. Not my day I guess.

Hey everyone -

Sorry I've been MIA - things at work and at home have been a pressure cooker, so the vigilance has slipped.  One thing I have been doing is working more organic foods into my diet - staying away from processed sugar as much as possible, whole grains and nuts, et cetera, with the goal of getting totally organic over a period of time.  I just haven't had the courage to get on a scale - things have been so stressful, I can't add that in right now.  That being said, I'll be back for next week's weigh-in.

I hope everyone's well.

145 this morning.

I'll keep March's goal relatively easy since I've been fighting this weight all winter.  I'm thinking a 3 lb loss for March should be reasonable!

Traveling this morning & forgot to step on the scale, so I'll stay with yesterday's weight...(which is probably better than today's anyway because I was a bad bad eater yesterday).

146.4

Hope that it is that next week too...this is not looking to be a good week for me.

Last week 154.4.
This week 152.4.
Loss: 2.0

I am excited about this two pound loss. I worked really hard this week doing cardio twice a day to try to jump start my loss again. I hope to keep up losing 2 pounds a week, and need to not get complacent. Not there yet. I WILL get below 150 this month.

The most exciting part is that although I have been up and down this is my lowest weight of 2008.

Welcome all you new people!  I've been busy, end of the grading period, and also getting over this stupid cold.

Finally got my butt back outside yesterday and did something.  I can't call it a run, cause there was a lot more walking than running going on, but at least I have done something this week.

Weighing in:

Last: 267

This: 262

Yay I am really, really happy.  This diet I'm on bites in a lot of ways, but it's working and I love it for that.  Energy levels are low though - so I'm still trying to figure out how much training I'm actually going to be able to do this year, and some sort of race schedule.

Hey all, I haven't had internet access at home for the past week (we moved to a new house) and my wife just had a baby girl this weekend, so I hadn't been able to check the new thread and post my goal for the month. So, as you can assume, life has been pretty crazy for the past few weeks.

Using last Weds weigh-in, I was at 254 and seeing as I definately exceeded my goal of 5 lbs in Feb (I lost 13), I am going to aim for 12 pounds for March, ending up at 242.

So, for today's weigh in:

Last: 254

This: 250.5

So close to going under 250 for the first time in a long time.

BTW- I got rid of that creepy picture with the knit mask- I think this one is a little better!

weighing in at 191.4, which is actually a litle lower than I expected...unfortunately its because of muscle loss and not fat loss, due to illness and unexpected travel for a funeral, and other excuses (that I'm done making) for not making my workouts... no excuses this month. 8-10lbs to drop. 11 weeks til my first tri (wow!)
