I have to raise money for the MS ride I'm doing in June and I want to do something other than ask everyone I know to donate. Do you have any restaurants in the area that will donate a portion of their profits? I did this with Fuddruckers last year on two different nights and raised about $350. We also did a tennis round robin that raised $1200 Golf tourney $3980 Sold Honey Baked Ham gift certificates and we got 20% of the profits, $580 Does that help any? That's one of my ideas. I'm calling a few places for that. |

Now that is one sure fire gonna make ya smile kind of story! (and if ya can't smile while riding that baby there isn't one to be found anywhere--no matter how much the course is a b*tch!) |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XV) - come join us :) Hello, my formerly-known-as-Nibbs buddies! (I almost said peeps, but would that include everyone this month?) Drive-by post. Gotta get the kiddos to the library before they lose their minds with boredom. *rolling eyes*. Uh-oh, offended the tween who was reading over my shoulder. Now I'm really in for it. I'm doing well--my hubby will be home in a matter of hours (for a few days), the weather's getting better here, and I hope to log some good hours this weekend on the bike. Take care everybody!!! |

I don't think they do any federal cases in the county building here. I'd have to go into Atlanta for that. The bummer is it is the same week as Relay for Life (ACS) and I usually take half that week off from work to help get it all set up. Maybe they won't want me for a case. One can hope. kns57 - 2008-04-11 2:32 PM Sweet ride Yanti! I agree, all over pink maybe too much. Pink fork, just right. Welcome aboard Bill. Nibbs aka challenge chat always has the welcome mat out. Besides you're a former "Swimming Rocks" team member and one gives you a hard time, you and I can throw rocks at them. LOL I got a Jury Summons in the mail today. Second jury summons in my life. First one was 19 years ago. Federal or County? Cuz... they're like serious about that Federal summons stuff. County is pretty easy to get out of. In fact, Relay for Life might even be excuse enough. I had to go to federal jury selection for the Phen-phen fraud case of some lawyer here in Jackson, and the judge was actually getting people together to go locate the potential jurors that didn't show up. I spent eight hours at the courthouse but luckily got cut in the first round. Tips: Roll your eyes at every question the defense attorney asks. LOL, great advice! I wish someone had told me that before I got called for jury duty though. (insert another eye roll here - after the fact!) |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XV) - come join us :) C got to Orlando fine, and I'm assuming he had a great time tonight at the game. K's prom dress arrived - it's beautiful! (i will post pics). Me on the other hand, got home at 11 pm rather than 3 pm. My flight was cancelled. Soooooooooooo, believe it or not, the quickest way for me to get home was to be routed through DC - I spent 6 lovely hours in the DC airport - There happened to be another gal that was in the same predicament as me, so we made the best of the day. It turned out we actually had quite a bit in common - she was very nice, even gave me a ride home from the airport! It was hysterical, the server in the restaurant was totally hitting on me, we were giggling pretty hard about the whole thing. The whole afternoon just was funny. I left a pen (on purpose) at the table, I hate the pen and figured - I'll just leave it, I'm sure that they can use it here. Well, as we were waiting for our plane - I look up, and here's this guy (not the server, another guy that was working in the airport) and he has my pen. OMG! I laughed so hard (after he left and I had thanked him profusely of course). Too funny. |

Beth, sounds like you set the DC airport on fire with your hotness! First the server, then some other guy tracking you down so you could have your pen back. You go, girl!! Sal, how's the snow? I'm getting the van packed up to head to the kids' triathlon. I've got two nervous pint-sized triathletes this morning. I told them to just have fun. Don't worry about time. DD is contemplating doing it sockless because she doesn't want to take the time in transition to put them on! I was like, "Mommy always races in socks. Sometimes it's worth the time not to have ouchy feet" Have a great Saturday everyone. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Challenge Chat (aka Nibbs XV) - come join us :) Hope that all the races went well this morning. Looking forward to hearing all about them. It's another lovely day in the library. Just as we opened the sky opened up with rain, so our first hour has been pretty dead. I'm surprised the tennis players from the park aren't all in here trying to stay dry. LOL |
