I'm in.  10 rides totaling 360 minutes.  If circumstances prevent me from getting outside would rides on the drainer count?

OK Gorgeous. 385 miles with one mountain stage of >10,000ft of climbing. (Knee permitting).

Cadels's still not going to win it you know.

Quickstep, Quickstep, Quickstep.

Can I still join? It's my first challenge. I'm having a hard time guessing since I'm OOT one weekend and doing my long ride on the 4th instead of the 5th this month, so I guess put me down for 11 stages, 220 miles.

Okay, got the goals sorted out:

- 21 stages and 2 days off (it's the Tour after all!!)
- 22.75 hours (1365 minutes) which is 25% of the 91 hours of yellow jersey winner Alberto Contador in 2007.

This will fit right in my training load, with a slight more biking volume than usual.

BRING IT ON!!!

Can I be on Team CSC or Caisse d'Epargne?

I know I have a big ride coming up so that will help.

Here  I go. I am in for 11 stages and 11.5 hours of ridding. I would love to put up bigger numbers, but I have not had a solid week of training in over 2 months. This goal reflects the rides that are on my training plan.

Last year I was a part of team gimp aka Agrituble. Agrituble was an invite French team last year with low expectations overall. Team Agrituble put on a good show with some big breakaways and some good face time for there sponsors on tv. I may not be a gimp this year, but I figure I am in about the same  boat for a competive challenge this year, low expectations, but want to put on a good show

So there you have it, my reasoning to being on a low profile Tour team.

Absolutely! Its the middle of winter Down Under so there will definatley be drainer rides/spin classes going on down here!

If its on something 'bike' that you pedal and you want to include it in your goal setting then go for it!

Well he is certainly disadvataged by this years course which definatley favours amazing climbers with average TT skills... would not be at all surprised to see someone like Soler up there in the overall...

This is going to be difficult as I am headed out of town and way from the bike July 6-10 but I want the poka dot jersey!!!!

So the guys in France are doing 5 steep mountain sessions, then I will do 5 stages that include a Cat 2/1 climb to the top of our local mountain.  They are doing 4 medium mountain stages, so I will do 4 more stages that include at least one Cat 4 climb.

As a team built on young blood, Team High Road which will debut in the tour as Team Columbia for me please. With the climbing I should make Hincapie proud.  But oh, Marco Pinotti just won the Italian National TT championships for the third time so to live up to this team I guess you'll have to count me in for 2 stages on my TT bike matching their distances as well.

so 11 stages... and lots of climbing!

Ok. I'm tired just thinking about it...

The Geez works for Garmin so he'll ride with the Garminite kids  for  the TdF distance during the "race". That would be 21 stages for 3,500 kilometers, translating into 2174.79 miles for those of you on the Left Coast.

Some  may think this absurd... but then the Geez is training to race the Furnace Creek 508 race in Oct for the 3rd time.  That's 508  non-stop miles through 110 degrees in Death Valley with 35,000 feet of climbing. Now that's a race; not some mamby-pamby 100 mile a day with days off and sucking off some rider's wheel while some domestique saunters up handing off water bottles and best wishes.

Get a Garmin or Get Lost!!!

Could I get in on this...

I should be good for 15 sessions, for a total of 1,000 minutes.  I have no preference on a team.
