Did another 8 miles down at the beach after work today. The tide did not cooperate so I could not run down on the sand but it was still an enjoyable run up on PCH.

4 mile brick run after my morning trainer ride to change things up a bit. Put me at 27 miles, over halfway now.

Did a pretty tough 8 miles today at lunch. Was an out-and-back with the last 4 miles at full Marathon Race Pace

I have another run planned for after work tonight.

Hey thanks

This challenge came along at a perfect time in my Marathon Training Schedule. (I start tapering the last week of September)

Oh, easy day planned for today. 8 Miles at lunch (Easy Pace) and a short 4 mile recovery run on the trails around my house after work tonight.

Your taper will probably still have more volume than my peak weeks! I don't know how you do it, but it's impressive. You should be able to get that sub-3 without a problem.

Headed out at lunch for a nice and easy run. Did 8 miles at the low end of my General Aerobic Pace with quite a bit of soft surface (Grassy Ball Fields) running. I have another short recovery run planned for after work tonight just to round out the day:

I am thinking of doing a 2 week taper for Long Beach in October since it is just a tuneup race. Week 1 of Taper will probably be around 40 miles for the week with race week up to about ~60. (33 Miles + 26.2 Race)

I hope Sub-3 is at least a possibility at Tucson.

Just got back from my afternoon recovery run. Headed out and stayed on the trails and also did a few loops of the ballfields all at recovery pace. Tomorrow morning is a sand run and my legs are loving the softer surfaces. (Concrete was giving me a headache )

Just finished 8 miles, my longest post-crash run yet! I worked really late and didn't get out there until 9:15, but I'm so glad I found the motivation. Just like every past September 11, they have the Tribute of Light in the sky downtown and I got to look at that for 5 miles of my run. It was a good night to be out there.

I've got 29.7 miles to date, 24.75% of goal. I'm a little behind, but determined to catch up.

Man that is so cool

Must be great to be able to run through the city; especially at night. A few of my friends belong to the NYRR and hit a lot of the "Club Races" in and around the city and it just sounds like so much fun.

I love running in NYC, but your beach and trail runs sound so nice. Sometimes I wish I could get out. But I'm sure we all think that about where we live from time to time.

In honor of the approaching Hurricane Ike, I'm getting up around 4:30 tomorrow so I and my wife can both get our long runs in. I'm going to go 10 miles, longest run since I jacked my achilles up in a Feb marathon with my aforementioned spouse. Funny how what seemed mundane 8 months ago is exciting me now.

Hit the beach this morning and did 6 miles naked down on the sand before my Tri Club Swim and had a great run. I love running on the sand and the legs are sooo happy that the last 20 miles of running have been on soft surfaces. I have another run planned for later today before heading out to dinner with friends tonight:

Be careful out there running in the hurricane. I hear the tailwinds can be a bit tricky

Well, the plan is to get out and run BEFORE Ike shows up, not during. So probably getting up around 4 or 4:30 so the wife can get moving around 6:30, done by 8ish. Although, some OWS would be fun. My route does go by a city lake that floods pretty easily.

I had planned a short run tonight and then a long (well, for an injured person) run tomorrow, but I had a bad night and the run didn't happen. But my weekend plans changed so I'm hoping to get into a half-marathon on Sunday. So this weeks miles may be low (again), but I'm hoping to catch up a little next week.

Enjoy your weekend running

Got my 10 miler in this morning, but it wasn't pretty. I left the house at 5am and it was already 80 degrees plus 85% humidity. After five miles everything I had on was drenched with sweat. Needless to say my pace was slower than normal, but the good news is I hit double digits again. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

Just did an easy 4 to get my legs ready for the last-minute half-mary tomorrow. The first mile was hell, but the rest was great. I feel pretty lucky to have gotten right back into it so quickly with the injury.

I've done 33.7 miles so far, only 28% of goal. Next week I'm stepping it up starting with the HM tomorrow.
