My husband has been playing golf at a very hoyti-toyti club ($200,000 to join, no...we are NOT members but one of the docs is...) How's the packing/sorting going? Some of it is so hard to decide on. You think "I haven't used this in x amount of time...." but simultaneously remember the sentiment if it was a gift or something you purchased that has a memory attached. We had so much stuff in storage while we were in the apartment. When we got to the house I threw out a lot of stuff cause I realized if I hadn't missed it in the 9 months it was in storage I really didn't need it now. |

Hi Judi! it's probably a combination - and mostly the challenge weekend I think I have it sorted out for the most part......in some ways it's a blessing in disguise that we have to rent first - it caused us to make some choices that we othewise probably woudln't have considered |

Next time I'll count sheep.

Elite 4148 Utah | Subject: RE: Nibbs XXIV sesh - 2008-09-01 11:31 AM Whew... Well, the Sunday fishing trip was cancelled, and we had to come back Sunday morning instead of today. Still had a blast, though, and knowing the back roads paid off big time. It was kind of strange to be driving on I-10 East towards Mobile. We got on the interstate just north of Pensacola and saw ZERO other cars going the way we were. All in all it still turned into one of those over indulgent weekends that is the complete inverse of training And at least I had my fill of raw oysters and reds. Good to see Gustav weakened up a bit and that all the evacuations have gone really smoothly outside of the traffic. Seemed everybody kept the freak out to a minimum and just filed on out. I guess it's time to ride out the outer band thunderstorms here. hmmm.... was wondering how you were fairing...looks like tornado;s are your worst fear right now... All of my family is strewn from Oxford through Alabama and Florida.... though there were some |

Well, you could always opt for a nice OWS. Find a nice lake - that has no chlorine. What? What do you mean it's not the *chlorine* that's the issue? |

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: Nibbs XXIV Well, a band of tornadoes passed north of me, so that was lucky. Looks like they hit some reall sparsely populated areas and only ripped a few holes in some forest areas. Even had a break in the action to slide on over to the parents' house for a steak. The sis was in town from Charlotte, so it was a rare full family meal. Good times. Raining pretty hard here now, but that looks like the worse we'll get here. There is some pretty bad news out of the MS coast that some towns got about a 15 foot storm surge. All the news channels are camped in New Orleans, though, so no pictorial proof. The levees seemed to have held up pretty well, so they should come out battered but not broken. It also looks like Mobile got some serious flooding rains but should come out ok. It's still sorta dicey, but it's looking like Gustav was a black eye as opposed to the bloody beat down that Katrina was. Gotta look on the bright side At the very least, it wasn't a 30+ foot storm surge that wiped towns off the map. We're haning in there. Always have, always will. Time to turn the attention to our Texas friends. Looks like it will set up camp and rain, rain, rain. There could be some severe flooding in the next few days. So be thinking about them. |

Also, a little stressed right now. Will pop in as I can. Cuties Hope Elder's first day was awesome. It is always easier in the car line knowing they enjoy where they are going. My 16 yo kitty is sick Very sad day for me. Wishing for either a recovery or death. I can't handle taking him to the vet to be put down. Hubby will have to do that if it comes to that. I did it with my kitty when he was 13 and too sick to go on. Lionel is hubby's cat from before we got married. So that is his job. I'm grateful we adopted Oliver. He is a bright spot of fur racing around the house on this dark day. |
