Congrats Merlyn on your progress.

I have to report progress in the wrong direction. I started at 173.4lbs and this morning I weighted in at 174.8 so I managed to actually gain 1.4lbs. I don't know how I did this I traced everything I ate last week and still gained. I have to just be patient I guess.

-1 this week, way better than I thought after a stressful week without exercise and that included chocolate chip cookies, pizza and some booze.  Anyway, back on the ol wagon with a 3 mile run yesterday and a half hour swim this am (aprox 1000, but I didn't count).  Keep up the good work!

Great job to everyone who lost this week!

And for everyone who is struggling this week, use today as a fresh start. Try to figure out what worked last week and what didn't, make a plan for this week and do your best to stick to it. We're all here for each other, so if you need some help figuring it out, ask the group and maybe we can figure it out together.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Congrats to everyone with losses this week. Keep trying to all who gained. I fall into the "I screwed the pooch this week" category. No excuse, but with both my kids' birthdays, both of them being sick all week, a baby shower, and girls' night out, I gained as well.
Starting weight = 142
Today's weight = 143.2
+1.2
I'm gonna get it off and then some, though this week. I hadn't even exercised last week due to my kids being sick and taking a week off after my tri. Keeping pushing everyone!

I was 139 - 138 most of last week but this morning weighed 143.

So I gained 3 lbs from my starting weight of 140.

Next week will report a loss, hopefully to below 140 again.

OK, so I didn't weigh myself this morning accidently (on purpose?)...a weekend of salty pizza and sore muscles almost guaranteed a weight gain in water weight and I'm too sensitive to take it.

I'll catch it tomorrow & post then.

TryTryTry - 2008-09-29 6:08 PM Thanks JohnBo - why'd you have to go and mention pizza?!

Was that like going to the alcoholics anonymous board and mentioning the full head of foam an ice cold beer?  But speaking seriously,  I've found that if I totally eliminate any of my favorite foods, I'm doomed to failure in weight loss. I just keep telling myself "moderation."  I had pizza twice last week, but still managed to lose some weight.  The key for me was to stop at one piece rather than eat a whole pizza by myself & feel crapulous afterwards.

Crapulous is a real word!
