Hey all. Got a 32 min run in at lunch. It was slow going but after about 8 weeks of doing my best "Jabba the Hutt" impression, it felt great to be out there again.

I can't wait for my running legs to warm up in about a week.

I tried to log into the Spreadsheet but i got a username/password error

I used this, Username: x_caliber50 Password: challengeforum

Is that correct?

Did 3 miles in 32 minutes...felt great. Our youngest cat is in ICU with liver problems so it was just one of those runs where you just wanted to let everything out.

Going to do some WiiFit later too!Laughing

I'm sorry to hear about your Sick Cat!

What do you do on Wii Fit? We have it, but I've never tried it.

seven miles in 31 minutes?????????????????????????????????????

holy mackeral- are you bionic? tell us your secrets!!!!

The elliptical counts as my Bike.  It counts in bike miles not running miles, so it is actually quite slow.

Elliptical machines are based on a single stride length, which is calibrated differently than actual walking or running.  Most elliptical machines will give you a longer distance traveled than a treadmill.  So on an elliptical you actually "run" based on a cadence.

Does wii fit count?  How is it?  We are just getting a wii this week for my son's birthday.  I was considering getting the wii fit.  Is it worthwhile?

Everybody is doing great! I ended up taking today off because I was late getting out of work and I really wanted to watch the election returns.  I'll get back out there tomorrow!

I have 3 workouts so far!

LSU, hope the cat is better today.

Tell me all about Wii and Wii fit. I am thinking of getting it but I am clueless about it. I have used it once and it was FUN.  What do you HAVE to purchase?

Just played soccer at recess with the kindergarteners for 25 minutes….hahaha they are brutal…going for a run later though after XC practice. ( Maybe I’ll just run with the team or after practice on the track)

Thanks for the prayers for the cat, he’s doing much better…they put in a feeding tube and he should be out of ICU by Sunday.

The Wii Fit is great, I use it for the yoga and bodyweight strengths. Of course it will never take the place of a workout but I like it as a nice little “tool” and if you have kids I defiantly recommend it, its fun with the kids.

I did a lifting session today during my daughters nap time.  We'll be taking a bike ride to the park this afternoon.  Good stuff.

YOU keep me motivated. If you have no excuses, neither can I.  30 minutes on the trainer while on a conference call today. Thank goodness for the mute button, and home offices. I will NEVER take either for granted!

I so long to run or bike or swim.....or just move freely around my house, office, into my car. It is amazing how much I took good health and fitness for granted. Today at PT, I asked why a specific strip on the outside of my knee hurt so much....it appears that when the surgeon had me open, he noticed that I really pulled the hamstring down where it connects to the knee-- the exact strip I was touching. Upon speaking to the surgeon (thankfully, a close friend- makes questions much easier) he said that I've fired it up from all the range of motion work. I feel like I'm 100 years old- my hip flexor hurts from dragging around a dead leg that I can't put weight on and from this big brace...and worst of ALL, MY REAR END HURTS from sitting and reclining more over the last 8 days than I normally would in a YEAR.

I guess the upside of all this discomfort is that it makes me want to work this knee more so that I can put this rehab behind me and get back to my normal self.  Feels like a long road at only 8 days in.....
