Morning guys!  I slept in this morning.  I didn't get up until 8:00!   Crazy!  It felt sooooo good to sleep in my bed last night.  Busy day ahead for me.  I have to mail out my resume (hoping to get a job this fall), go to the grocery store (boo), take Cole to his appointment (not much bad stuff to report this week, he was overall well behaved this week.  Yay), softball game tonight.  I wanted to hit the beach today too but no time!  I am not sure I have time to ride or run today either.  Bummer.  Maybe tonight??  We'll see.

Tripolar - 2009-07-10 2:07 AM Ok, another stage done -- 30 more minutes on the drainer!

So... seems like most of you know each other, but not me (well 'cept for Yanti!), so let me introduce myself.  I'm Keith, came onto this site a couple years ago.  A couple of my friends did triathlons, so they inspired me to try it out.  I had also recently discovered I had type 2 diabetes, so it was good timing -- I needed something to focus on to get back into some sort of shape.  Did my first (and so far only) tri last year in March.  Lately I've just been focusing on just biking, since I'm planning on doing a century with my brother and some friends in September.  And what better way than the TdF Challenge!

So, hi.

Nice to meet you Keith!  I also started training for a tri shortly before I found out I had type 2 diabetes...it has really been a great way for me to keep it under control...hope the same is true for you!

Okay team, I am getting on my bike today!   I am gonna ride the drainer cause I don't want to ride by myself today.  Pitiful, huh?  I know!  I shall watch the TdF while on the trainer.  Do I get extra points for that???

CHASED THE CHAMBER TODAY.  (a local 5K)

COOL AND CLOUDY, THOUGH THE HUMIDITY WAS WRETCHED-AWFUL.

THIRD PLACE FINISH (age group)

NICE LITTLE TROPHY ADORNING MY BOOKSHELF.

WAY COOLER THAN A MEDAL, at least that what my kids said.

WOOT!

I have another hour to do today.  Got the DVR recording the TdF so I might hit the trainer again today.  It is kind of yucky out.  We'll see.  I have church in a few so we'll see what the weather is doing after I get home.  Catch ya all later!

Ride done.  Only 45 minutes but I'll take it.  I ended up riding outside cause my DVR is all screwy.  No TdF for me.   Oh well, it was good to get outside though.  It has been way to long since I've been on the road.  My ride sucked.  Big time!  Doesn't help that my lungs are all full of snot either.  I was wheezing pretty good.  I guess I should find my inhaler.  Hmmmm, where did I put it????
