Sprint_DA - 2009-07-20 2:07 PM So, went to the doctor today. My arm isn't healing...at all.

so what does this mean - surgery?  or just more time in a cast?

Apparently it means more time in a cast, time with a bone growth stimulator, and a greater likelihood of surgery...after a few months.  I'm so down right now.  The surgery sounds sh--y too...reopen the incisions, take out the hardware, rough up the bone, do the graft, put hardware back in, back in the cast.

so you are dating that new tri girlie?  (ha - just trying to keep it TAN in here - i know how bad it sucks to feel like all your hard work is going down the toilet)

She decided she didn't want to date because it took up too much of her "veg on the couch after a long day time."  That's right, got dumped so she could have more time to stare at the tv and do nothing.  I must really suck.

And I talked to the bone-growth stimulator rep today.  Apparently most insurance companies make you wait 3 months post-injury to get a machine.  And they cost about $5k.  F

wow that's a pretty lame line.

tex would probably stimulate your boner for five dolla.

(sorry if i just got tan yanked but no apologies to tex)

ETA:  tex is a ho toppage!  no better way to start the day!

Morning TAN.

Interview went well yesterday, I made them laugh and I knew what I was talking about...apparently I was one of 10 applicants from a pool of 300. Won't know for another week and a day. I am so not good at waiting.

In other news, I want to throw things at the radio/TV whenever congressmen start talking about the British health care system...the crap they're saying is just patently false and misleading, and it kinda reeks of "Look at those silly foreigners with their free health care...USA! USA!". I just want to chuck a banana at the TV or something.

Right there with you! I had a job interview a week ago that went very well. However they had another 20 applicants to go through and I was told that I would be notified whether or not I had the position in 2 weeks.

Yup. Lotsa little things (mostly cosmetic), but nothing major and certainly no deal-breakers. Gotta love having $100k in instant equity when this goes through.

I prefer the term "D-Vegas" thankyouverymuch.

Hi TAN. A comedy of errors this morning, so to speak. I decided last night that I'd do my 1.5 hour ride this morning. So I went to prep everything and realized I'd swapped out the cleats on my shoes to the wrong type of cleats for my pedals (I was using someone else's pedals and bike while on vacation). So I went to put my new cleats on my shoes and lo and behold by 5 wrench is gone.

Scrap that plan.

So right as I was going to bed I decided to get up an hour early and go lift instead of sleeping in. I woke up at 7:15. I have to be at work at 7:30. Needless to say I didn't lift and I rolled into work at about 8:05 a.m.

You ever know when it's going to be one of those days?

Zilla - 2009-07-21 10:12 AM OMG.  It's 7:10am ... sure it's not the crack of dawn but the landscapers have fired up the chainsaws right outside of my house.  AND they have a woodchipper in tow.  Surely they could wait to partake in this particular land grooming activity until after 8am.

Why don't you invite them in to help you celebrate.  Dear Penthouse...
