I'm 6'1" and right now I'm 185.  I got down to 178-180ish this summer when the volume and intensity was high.  Figuring I'll get up to around 190ish during the winter and drop back down at my volume increases for Eagleman 70.3.

Lay off the tots over the winter

6'2", 173 lbs (60-yearold male). It'll likely meander up to 178-180 during the winter, then I'll thwack it back down as the season progresses. I race best at 168-174 or so.

(And if I eat wisely.....consciously.....mindfully.....there will be less thwacking to do come race season!)

I'm 5'8'' and 175 lbs.  I have tested at 8% body fat.  I have a 39 inch chest and a 31 inch weight.   People who look at me usually say that I'm either small or skinny.   Physically I am somewhere between an ectomorph and a mesomorph.

P.S.   A cold front has finally made it all the way down here to Mobile and it's currently 58 degrees.  I will most definitely enjoy my run this evening and it will be for the first time since early last spring.... happy training times are here again.

5'0" and 112.  My body fat reads around 15%, so I'm pretty solid.  I've been 107 and 13% safely (borderline too low though).  I don't think I could get back down to that weight with my current lifestyle, since I intentionally weight train and eat to keep/add muscle.  I don't really care if that makes me slower because I'm happier with my muscles.

<--- I was 114 in my picture over yonder.  Not sure why I remember that.

MadMath -

One man's meat is another man's poison, and you're welcome to our (eastern Ontario) cold fronts! The smartest thing I did was resist the temptation a few weeks ago to commit to Beach2Battleship iron, as the weather here has been miserable -- way too cold for long rides, to be sure. I can usually manage open water swims up until right about now, but this year it looks like my last for the season will be in the books as Oct 4, at Mightyman Montauk Half. I can dig cool runs ad nauseum, but cycling in layers, and swimming when the air temp is colder than the water temp, which is low 60s at best?? Uh-uh!

6' 4" 225 last time I checked. Goal is to get down to 200 this winter. Plan is to burn more, eating less better, and cutting back on the beer....all during the winter. It's going to be a long winter......

I'm 5' 11" and as of this morning, I weigh 189.  This March will be 3 years since I began my weight loss journey (struggle/torture)-I started around 270.  There's been quite a change in my running...

I hope get down to 175 and then reassess where I want/should be.  In college I got down to the mid-160's once-I was moving then!

5'-7" former bodybuilder/weightlifter with a 46" chest and 29" inseam.  Basically built like a fireplug; not your stereotypical triathlete physique.  Actually gained weight after I stopped lifting full-time and started tri training five years ago.  Have been as high as 212lb. Currently around 195lb.  Got down to 185 training for the Sarasota marathon in February.

My goal, supported by my doctor, is to get to 175lb and maintain.  My triglycerides tend to run high and my doc would rather have me control it through weight rather than medication.  175lb still puts my BMI off the chart, but suits my build.

 Steve,
Currently the water temperature at Dauphin Island is ~80 degrees F.    Even in the "dead" of winter down here the gulf waters rarely get below 60 degrees.    I'm fine with those temps to swim in.  In high summer the water temps can reach 90 F and that's too hot to shed any body heat in.   I really only train on the bike in Spring and Fall.   I work at university so I can make use of a very modern gymnasium.  They offer spin classes several times each day.

The heat down here starts by April and doesn't go away until October or November.   Heat is a real danger for all athletes down here.

5'9"...231 lbs...as of this morning.  7 weeks ago I got introduced to Tri's, and I am doing my first sprint next sunday...

I have been very frustrated that I have been training 6 days a week, and have "changed, not perfected" my eating, and I have still only lost 5 lbs...

6'2" (very close to 6'3") and about 208lbs. I normally stay between 205-210. I can maintain a 9-10%bf year round without dropping any weight so I am pretty comfortable at this weight. I got as low as 200lbs when I was training hard.

6' and 165.  I was 196 in January before I started training and with a run focused off season and watching my diet I plan to be around 155 for the start of next season.

Daremo - 2009-10-16 11:13 AM 6'-1" and about 178 or so right now (been letting myself go the last few months).

Typically when really training I am in the 170 - 173 range.  Lowest I'll see during really heavy training is about 168.

does this mean I'm lighter than you on my Scott!?!

Or is your bike still so much lighter I lose the difference.

I guess it's a moot point until I up my power a bit.

5'3" - flux between 123-125.  All in all happy with my weight but think that 120 is probably a good number to shoot for.  It's my goal to get there over the winter now that the season is done.

6'4" 225, (57 y.o. male)  Down from 248 a little over a year ago.  I would like to be around 212-215 and will achieve that by mid summer next year.  The challenge then is to maintain it.

5'11'' - 178.   Your body is probably still getting used to not having to feed the muscle mass from lifting weights.  I know it took some time for me to lean down.

5' 7"  185.  This winter I'm determined to get back down to 165.  I got down to 147 a few years ago, all I ate or drank were MRP'S, no food at all, man I was like the energizer bunny.  I had so much energy it was insane.  Probably not the healthiest way to diet, but it worked.  All the food we eat nowadays is filled with such crap, even if its "clean" food it's still junk in my opinion.  A MetRx shake feels so much healthier.

Sorry, that makes ABSOLUTELY no sense. "Clean" food to me, for example, would be fresh food that doesn't come out of a package. How is a premade "shake" more healthy than say, a pile of fresh, steamed green beans and a chicken breast that was baked, not fried, with nothing but some herbs and lemon juice?

btwn 5'4" and 5'5"  flux btwn 120-125.  Am very uncomfortable if I go over 125.  Body fat is 12-13% for a 48yo female that is pretty low but it is where I'm comfortable.
