Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Stuffed Turkeys - November Challenge Spreadsheets: For the spreadsheets that I've put up, you can always access them via the link on the first post of your team thread. (Or on your team links table, if that's been created for your team.) Please do NOT worry about changing the spreadsheet "total" columns. Just enter your goals. Later this week, I will correct any issues with the "total" columns. (Yes, I will make sure your numbers are counted in the Team Totals. LOL) Thanks! Dee |

It's new territory to me. Well, I just did my first Spinervals Base Building DVD workout. I think it killed me. If it wasn't for my nether parts hurting so much, I might think I had died. This was hard - hard - hard. But, it got me another workout for the Turkeys. |

Veteran 194 Denver, CO | Subject: RE: Stuffed Turkeys - November Challenge Hello team! It's great to hear everyone's stories. I just got back in the pool for only the third time this year and it felt great! As I mentioned earlier, I'm coming off of about a 10 month break where I just lost all drive to S/B/R or compete at all. Just signing up for this challenge got me more motivated than I've been in quite a while. I can't wait to get back in the swing of training. I'm hoping to do my second HIM in 2010 and I'm so glad I'm starting to get back into shape now rather than in March. |

Well hello. I'm Lynne. Originally from Scotland but have been living in Washington since 1998. My husband is American so that explains a lot of things. Also no kids...yet.
I started doing triathlons in 2007 and I was immediately hooked. I signed up for more right after my 1st one. Ended up doing 7 that year! My goal is to lose weight, and has been for eons of course. I quit smoking almost 6 months ago and it's just hard to shift it. Getting there however.
I am doing a half mary at the end of the month, then after that, who knows. I'd like to do 2 70.3 next year,as long as they are spread out far enough apart. I tried to post an inspire on your training log, but it says we have to be friends for me to do that. I would love to send you inspires as we all work toward our goals this month. You may want to drop the block or add our team as friends. Ann-Marie |

Expert 977 Huntington Beach | Subject: RE: Stuffed Turkeys - November Challenge I am new to triathlons and did my first two sprint tris this summer. I LOVED it (all the pics show me with a giant goofy grin) until I got to the run. I am a horrible runner and only do it because I don't want it (running) to beat me. Therefore, my goal for November is to run run run! I plan on doing a few sprints and maybe an Olympic next summer and would love to do HIM in 2011, but just thinking about it gives me butterflies. |

Master 1397 Granvile, Ohio | Subject: RE: Stuffed Turkeys - November Challenge Hey everyone! I'm Tam - 48 years old and just finished my 5th triathlon season. I stumbled across BT when I was losing weight. I lost 55 lbs and will drop another 8 this winter. I am registered for IM Louisville next August. When I first found BT back in 2005, ironman was really just a pipe dream. I had no idea how I would ever get to the point that I could actually complete the distance, but I set tiny steps along the ways and knocked them off one by one. I'm not fast and I'm not talented, but I have come to know my body and what it can and can't withstand and I've got a hell of a strong determination and desire. None of this comes easily to me. I spent my entire life doing zero physical activity. I got to the point where I could run continuously for 13 miles, but couldn't seem to make the body go any further, so I went to the Galloway run/walk method and my body likes me much more. I'm such a slow runner, that I was actually faster doing the run/walk than the run. I guess my point is to you people who get down on yourself because you can't run continuously is that walking isn't the enemy. It's great to build a base and run 3 or 10 miles, but it doesn't make you less of a person or an athlete if you can't. The whole point is to get out there and move your body and have a great time doing it! |

Expert 843 Gilbert | Subject: RE: Stuffed Turkeys - November Challenge Hello eveyone! I'm Kate. I'm 39, married and have 2 kids ages 4 and 6. I'm a former college basketball player that got lazy and fat. I started tris in April 2008 to lose weight. To date I have done 6 tris. Luckily, I live in Arizona so it is race season all year round. I have lost 13 pounds since January and hope to lose a bunch more as I train for the California HIM in March. I'm not the best swimmer but I'm working on it. I've got a long way to go! My goal is to get more swims and runs in this month. (12/12) Go Turkeys! |
