zwest - 2009-11-10 7:52 AM Morning all...

The MIL arrives today, on the plus she comes bearing a bicycle on the negative my wife will be all funny for a few days.

Morning, TAN.  Funny, as innnnn......

He accent will come back full time for the good part of funny... She'll get homesick for the bad part of funny.

My fiance returned last night from a visit to her homeland of Minnesota.  She picked up a bit of her old accent.  Good stuff... one of the many reasons I am marrying her.

One of my sisters has lived in Nah fik since the '80s.  The last time I spoke with her (a couple of years ago), we bantered back and forth over who had an accent.  Funny.

WINNER!!!

But, she was allowed to get your bike and transition stuff and take them out?  Really?  You can't get your bike and such unless you have your wristband I.D. on and verified at Ironman Moo (for sure). />
Yeah that is crazy that they let someone else get ALL of your stuff- even your bike!
At Longhorn the other week when I went to claim my bike, I had ripped the bike sticker off during the race cause it was rubbing on my thighs. Since my bike didn't have a sticker it took them a long time to decide if they would give me the bike, even when I had my bib on, my wristband, and all my gear bags - all numbered with the same number. They ended up taking my bib and wristband away from me so I couldn't come back in for another bike.

Well I had to sign a waiver the day before that allowed her into transition to get my stuff. It's not like she walked in, grabbed a bike and some bags and walked out. They checked her ID and did all that other stuff.

I've been in meetings since 9:30.  First a lab meeting, then a meeting with a biotech company.  I'll have another meeting this afternoon to discuss the paper we are trying to publish.

Taco Tuuuuuuuesday for lunch.

Steaks tonight for dinner.

Just registered for my first event of 2010, the Frozen Tundra Time Trial. The earlier you register, the later your start time. Last year was 40° & rain for the first half of the race. I was in that half.

Is that the same as 'seeing a man about a dog'?  Or txting tony?

Not sure what I have left... I'm trying to clean out my kitchen in preps for the move next week.  I close on my house next Monday!

I miss Taco John's.  I hate Taco HBell.  I used to work at a Taco John's on Water Street in Eau Claire, WI when I was in college (20 years ago or more).  Weekend bar closings were not fun, though.  I LOFed that I got to eat for "free" (had to ring it up to account for what I ate).  Considering that at least 3 nights a week for over a year, eating 1 super-beef burrito, 2 hard shell beef tacos, 1 or 2 soft-shell beef tacos, numerous Potatoe Oles (extra seasoning), a LARGE "swamp water" (mixed the orange, rootbeer, Dr. Pepper, and Coca-Cola together), and maybe a churro or a choco-taco, I didn't gain more than a couple of pounds.  I miss that food.
