Morning Hearts!  I had to get four shots this morning for an upcoming mission trip to Kenya.  We'll see how that affects my swim workout later!  No complaints, I am blessed.  But I do need to get on the trainer too - and I will probably watch Bridezillas - now that is pathetic!!!

MDHillSlug - 2010-02-02 7:40 AM Oh, and this morning I did my longest run since July, back before my Achilles pain had me shut down my running.

Wow!!!  Awesome!!!!  How did it feel?

The heel felt ok (iced it for good measure and will do so ibuprofen for a day or two) but my quads feel kinda trashed!

Hi Team!  Still no bike-loving for me today!  Tuesdays I usually do run intervals per my marathon training plan.  BUT!  I will try to get up early tomorrow morning and try out my new (to me) bike trainer and start logging time for my LOVE goal!  Hope everyone's having a great Tuesday Smile

"Fishlips" hasn't checked in yet?  EEEAAAWWW!!!

Here I am fellow Donkey!  I am behind and just put in my goals - I will be doing running as the LOVE goal and then added the swim, bike and planks - oh how I love those planks!  This is my fourth consecutive challenge and I've been on winning teams for the past three - let's go team!!  (I did get my first run and swim in this morning!)

By the way, I am Tracy and a mom to two sons.  I have done four sprint tri's and have said out loud that I am going to do a half- Ironman this July.  I'm scared!  So, any tips from those of you more experienced folks is appreciated!

Very brave saying it out loud!

Donkeys are always proud.  EEEEAAAAWWWW!!!

Hi-ho Hearts! I am back at work today and feeling about 90%. I will have to get some running done this week and catch up. I have a baseball meeting (in February!!) tonight, so I might start my week tomorrow. I'm a big suck when it comes to running in the cold, so I've been hitting the treadmill at the gym. Don't have any way of measuring my distance unless I go down to the dark n' scary bike path - not happening.

I love to hear that everyone else is off to a great start.

Happy Tuesday, Team!

I'm stuck at work until midnight then it's three days off.  I'm looking forward to some free time so I can enjoy some training time!  Today it's just a short run on my lunch break and a post work trainer ride.  I tend to pop in a movie when I'm riding the trainer.  Last ride I watched Whip It!  If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it.  Fabulous cast.  Fun story.  I think girls kicking in roller derby is something we can all get behind!

Hello Hearts!  I was supposed to swim today, but this afternoon was gorgeous.  57* dry, no wind.  I just couldn't spend it in the pool.  So I went for a bike ride!!  SO FUN!!

So this will put me swimming two days in a row - Thursday and Friday -  but that shouldn't be a problem.

Tomorrow I do my ever lovin' run.  LOL  well okay ever lovin' jog   Smile

Hope everyone is off to a great week!!

Thanks Nicole - works great.I got in my second trainer ride today - another 40 minutes while watching the snow come down and listening to some Dire Straits. Cranked my speed and heart rate up a little higher today.

Morning Hearts. dcon, you're almost 30% done. That's awesome! I will be running today, tomorrow, and Sat. I am going to go out at lunch to the bike path. Hopefully, it's not too wet. It's about -3C here, so not too cold today.

Good morning team!

So, last night, I finally set up my whole trainer area, installed my cadence/speed sensor on my bike, and the bike mount for my Garmin.  I was really really excited to get up early this morning for my first bike workout on my new set-up (I even laid out my bike shoes!!). . . And of course I slept through my "early" alarm and just work up at my usual time Frown  Bah, I think I'm just not a morning person!

Tonight, I have a tri club meeting after work, then I'm supposed to lift with my lifting buddy.  I usually grab dinner with him after, so I doubt I'll be able to make up for the missed bike session tonight.  Tomorrow is a run day, but I should be able to get a bike session in on Friday, though. . . Assuming I can get up early!

Sorry that things didn't work out this morning. I didn't used to be a morning person but it's now my favorite time to train :)

I did ride the trainer this morning.

dcon - 2010-02-02 12:52 AM Got in my first bike ride for the month which was also my first trainer ride. It was a long 40 minutes, but the tunes did help.
I just spent about 40 minutes on the trainer myself. I'm trying to break my Charmed addiction (don't judge!) so that's what's on while I ride.

It seems as if 40 minutes is the amount of time we all spend on the trainer.  That's what I did yesterday.  I'll do the same tomorrow.  I'm starting to like the trainer.

That's cause 40 minutes is the length of a TV show without the commercials.  LOL

Thanks for the chart Nicole.

This morning I was going to train, but them my ABM called in sick so I had to go into work early.  Will be doing an 11 hour day today.  And I won't have time tonight.  Will have to make up for it tomorrow and this weekend.

I'm starting to LOVE running. I went out at lunch into the beautiful sunny afternoon and ran on the snow covered path. All I needed was a little wood burning chimney on a house in the background, my golden retriever, and someone chopping wood in the distance.

Okay, a little weird. 8.9% of goal. Nice!

I'm really feeling like a pile of poo again.  The cold that I got in January won't let go of me.  I was not able to love my running yesterday due to other obligations.  I'm going to try to love running before I teach Spinning class tonight.  Hopefully the treadmills arn't packed.

Okay, so for a REALLY good workout, you need to put on a movie - at least 90 min.

Another run in the books today!  I was hoping we were going to get some warmer weather this week.  And by warmer, I mean that I was hoping it would be above freezing.  Not so much.  Instead it was overcast and cold.  Still, it was nice to get outside after being trapped inside the past few days.  Once I got going, I warmed up quickly.  All except for my rear.  It stayed cold the entire run.  It took a warm shower to get rid of the chilly cheeks.  I guess I need to invest in some bun warmers!

A movie is perfect for trainer entertainment.  You can fit in an hour long workout, a stretching session, and snack time afterwards!  You gotta pick the right movie though.  I was watching a bad one last week and it was double the torture!
