Getting the hang of this post padding thing.

8 Mile race on tap for tomorrow.  forecast calling for showers/thunderstorms - 60% chance, which winds 15-20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph.  No matter what, this will be a PR for me as it the first time I've run any race longer than a 5K.  Really hoping no rain though, I am not a fan of running in the rain, especially for 80 minutes, or whatever it takes me.

I've got a tri bike ride on tap for tomorrow. My first race is in 4 weeks and I'm feeling terribly unready.

Good morning team--just in from a morning run.  Now, off to the shower and then my brother's wedding.  Have a great weekend everyone.

Plan to get a 2 hour bike and 1 hour swim in today. Also need to sort through and throw a few things out from the basement.

serendipity - 2010-04-02 5:55 PM 1 ST session done for me!

The weather is beautiful here today, and supposed to be better tomorrow.  Going on my first outdoor bike ride of the season with a friend who's going to show me some good training routes.

Oh, and today was Ice Out!  That means that the lake melted and the buoy with the sensor fell in, recording the exact time it hit the water.  Now whoever picked the block of time during which the ice out happened wins a bunch of money.  Yup, they gamble on the ice melting here.

If it stays warm I might be swimming soon.  Hmmm...where did I put my wetsuit?

We had beautiful weather here as well during spring break (70 degrees...in MN!).  Funny, we actually had ice out here last week.  Not too often we beat NY!

1 hour of yoga, then 40 min run.

Aww, that is not cool.  But hopefully it will give your community the funds it needs to get back to normal.

In our area, the Red Cross has been out in full force.  I am amazed at all the stuff I see in people's yards that is ruined.  Very sad.  And, most of those people didn't have flood insurance so they are totally screwed.  Even sadder.

I took the kids up to a local race that a BTer puts on to volunteer today.  It was a nice race and the kids did great!  Lots of fun was had by everyone.  I am very proud of how great the kids did.  They pitched in and didn't complain at all!  Well, until the end when they were tired and hungry.  Who could blame them?

Enjoying 80 deg weather here.  Unbelievable for this time of year.  Just finished my first ride outside since September.  I wasn't sure I could ride without falling over, I've been on the trainer so long.  (No, I didn't fall over.)

I'm a bit pink on my shoulders.  Guess I need to dig out the sunscreen.

I'm trying not to get too excited about the weather.  I'm afraid it's an April Fool's joke and it's going to snow again.

Tell them that next year, they can participate. Maybe that'll make them happier.

Mostly dry. Just a little wet along the walls. It looks like my big book shelves are going to peel apart on the bottom.  They are from Ikea so not that expensive. I may just leave as long as they are still structurally sound....

Rode a bit over 2 hours today! Windy as all get out but beautiful sun.  I think we hit the mid-60s for temps.
Perfect for riding! This is an old private club with a
picnic pavilion reached by a rocky causeway.
You can also see a big cargo ship unloading across the bay.

Heh. That's funny.

Well, I can either edit it, so it's smaller. Or we can just leave it there, and wait until we reach the next page of the thread. (It should go back to normal width on the next page.)
