Master 2177 | Subject: RE: September North-South Swim and/or Bike Challenge "South, represent. I really dig how you have jumped into BT and training with vigor " Thank you! Such a cool bunch of people around here. It's made it easy to jump in. Totally looking to have a quality training session for my for upcoming runs and tris! I need the motivation of challenges and such to enjoy it all though. Edited by Blanda 2011-09-07 9:43 PM |

I look forward to having you as teammates in the very near future!! :D |

What will the South have to do when they lose...uh, I mean when they do well but just not as well as the North? |

Or is the max 100%? I think the spreadsheet has it capped at 110% although 105% has been the norm for most challenges. I dunno. Honestly for all the recent teams I've been on I don't think it would have helped! So yes, extra credit. Brain dead on whether it should be 5% or 10%. What do you all think? |

I'm going to let laziness rule this one. I don't feel like changing anything on the spreadsheet, so 110% it will be. Unless everyone feels very strongly about 105% and someone else is willing to change it. |

There was some talk--oh wait, by me --of having to change avatars ... now that sig lines are limited to 5 it's a bit much to ask to post something there ... I say losers have to post a pic of THEMSELVES in swim or bike gear. Can be far-off, can be photoshopped, special-effected, whatever, can be from any angle or hey, if you want to chicken out, your feet in bike shoes ... but I say it's got to be you in swim or bike gear. Oh drat. I have a terrible feeling about this ... |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: September North-South Swim and/or Bike Challenge Oh boy... as bad as my running pic is, I don't think the swimming or biking ones are any prettier. Today was the first day of Kindergarten for my baby and she did great! She didn't even look back at me when she got on the bus... OK, off to hit the drainer for just a little while. Need to keep on top of things this month so I don't have to start looking for more scary pictures of me in tri gear. |

Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: September North-South Swim and/or Bike Challenge Well, those stakes sure got people concerned now...and motivated to swim more!! Question...do you all think wetsuits make people more pleasing to the eye, or worse? I always thought they hid alot of the of excess baggage, but gf thinks they emphasize it. |

Pretty much unless you're a pro/elite/champ, I think most people look like seals in wetsuits. Friendly and cute, but shapeless. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: September North-South Swim and/or Bike Challenge Hurt my heel at work today. I somehow managed to get it stuck under a door while walking out to take the trash out and ripped some skin off and bruised it pretty bad. Now its swollen and wearing shoes hurts I was limping around work after it happened I'm going to skip my run and hope its better tomorrow. James and I are starting to work out together Monday I told him he has to be my personal trainer for strength training. I'm hoping he can run with me as long as his back doesn't bother him too much. |
