Our fearless leader has actually ventured over to one of the other team's boards and done a little bit of this. I'm encouraging everyone to rev up the smack talk. On the forum threads, sig lines, training blogs, and especially over on their boards in this challenge forum. After all, that's why it's a challenge forum, right? So go get 'em gang, I'm sure you can think up a lot of witty shots while you're doing all that swimming. Just keep it fun and not personal. Well, not TOO personal. |

Then I will be doing the happy dance....I haven't swam this much ever (of course I only learned how to swim last spring so I think my progress is good) Anyway...keep swimming Tri Stars. Pay no attention to those noisey cannonballers. Consider the waves practice for the open water swims this summer. |

| Veteran 465 Michigan | Subject: RE: January Swim Challenge -- TRI-STARS Ok Tri-Stars, if I was able to get into a freezing cold pool not once but twice in the last few days, you all can get it done too! The heater was broken at my pool when I swam yesterday but they assured me it was fixed when I left. I was expecting to have normal temperature water this morning at 5:30am but no luck - still freezing cold! Well, at least I had the pool to myself! It looks like everyone is within striking distance of their goals - great job! GO TRI-STARS!!! |

Ok, I am throwing down the gloves! As long as the pool heater is fixed I am going to finish up my swim tomorrow morning. That means a 3200 swim for me tomorrow. This will be a stretch for me but it will be good chance for me to see if I can swim 2 miles. 3200 yards is 2 miles, right? Come on Tri-Stars!!! We are sooooo close - we can do it!!! |
