I absolutley bawled my eyes out reading this one.  Thankfully I was at home so the sobbing mess that was me wasn't in view of the public.

Possibly. Most jobs in this area are contract w/ potential for full time. 

Nice!  It's kind of odd, but one of the things I'm bummed about with leaving the law firm I'm at is that I was always just on contract.  I was finally being considered for work in other areas and more management level stuff and now I'm leaving.  Oh well, time to be a lady of leisure before hitting the work grind all over again.

Who says I didn't?

Nah, I just tried to keep up some sort of schedule.  Tried to still get up reasonably early, do a lot of tasks for the wife and the house (which are getting ignored now).

Did a LOT more home cooking.  Worked on some hobbies/projects. 

Oh, and chased down insurance, doctors, hospitals had surgery/recovery from cancer.  That filled up a couple weeks.

ETA: ^^^^^  I don't recommend this as a time filler...  There are more fun options.
