Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into actionNews from the NC Ghoulies We found out last Thursday that Jim has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The very, very, very good news is that we caught it early and it is very treatable. I wanted to wait until we had the meeting with the doc last night to go over all the details and treatments before announcing it to you all. He will be having surgery instead of radiation. Get that evil out of there! It takes more to recover from the surgery, but the side effects, especially over time are less. He is really wanting to be over all of this so he can do his annual race in July (The Bear) and train for the MCM. Hopefully the surgery will be scheduled in the next couple of weeks so the 4-6 weeks of recover can get behind us. Breathe in... Breathe out... this will be ok, it will just take a while. |
