Those things have NO flexibility when it comes to putting them on, and even less when taking them off. The neck gasket was incredibly too tight and I could barely breathe. Not fun. I need to stretch the gasket out. |

It is only an hour from my house. It is not as scenic of a beach as the Oregon or California coast. But it is still the ocean and the beach, and June just might be pretty good weather. You can't ever really tell. A friend (possibly two) and I are going for the whole weekend. We have a nice suite reserved for the 3 nights. Hopefully the weather will allow us to just bum around and go to the little markets etc. Sooooo excited !!! |

The very, very, very good news is that we caught it early and it is very treatable. I wanted to wait until we had the meeting with the doc last night to go over all the details and treatments before announcing it to you all. He will be having surgery instead of radiation. Get that evil out of there! It takes more to recover from the surgery, but the side effects, especially over time are less. He is really wanting to be over all of this so he can do his annual race in July (The Bear) and train for the MCM. Hopefully the surgery will be scheduled in the next couple of weeks so the 4-6 weeks of recover can get behind us. Breathe in... Breathe out... this will be ok, it will just take a while. |
