Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" Challenge - Team 2!! Here is a Challenge update update! Some of the teams had issues with their spreadsheets. So here is an update to the update. I've noticed that some of you are already at 100% of your goals! (And yet, today is only the 14th....) No one gets to record more than 100%. However, you MAY increase your goal. (I'm so nice, aren't I?) Remaining in First Place, both for post counts AND for workouts -- Congratulations Team Twisnibbins! Here are the team standings: 1st place - Twisnibbins 37% 2nd place- Moscateers 35% 3rd place (tie) - Wild Hippos - 32% 3rd place (tie) - 5 for Fighting 32% 5th place - Hard Core Tri Corps 27% 6th place- Turkey Terrors 26% ? place - Vigilantes - no spreadsheet posted yet ??? Veteran 228 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" Challenge - Team 2!! I mean all you gotta do is write a quick post here and there and voila! your post count goes up. I am heading out to Maryland later today to pace / crew for a friend of mine who is doing the JFK 50 mile run. So I'll definitely be Running and biking this weekend but I probably won't make it into the water until Sunday night if that. |

We need to get the name changed to Vigilantes for our forum....any ideas how to do that? Now that it's halfway through the month! I am in need of inspires, although have been really bad about reciprocating due to lack of online time!!!! Once things calm down I will be back at it. In the meantime, GO VIGILANTES! Veteran 228 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" Challenge - Team 2!! Dee - You are a tough taskmaster! Those negative vibes are just bringing me down. lol Work with me here. Let's keep it positive until there is incontrovertible proof that we are in last place. Maybe you can list us half way down? Not trying to take anything away from the swizznibbins or whatever they are called. Guess that brings us to the moment of truth, wherein the fundamental flaw of having options is ultimately expressed and the anomaly revealed as both beginning and end. There are two options, list us at the top as if tied for first place OR continue to list us at the bottom. The problem is choice. But we already know what you are going to do, don't we? Already I can see the chain reaction, the chemical precursors that signal the onset of an emotion designed specifically to overwhelm logic and reason. An emotion that is already blinding you from the simple and obvious truth, You will continue to list us at the bottom even though you can choose to list us at the top. And thereby adequately provide us with Hope. HOPE, it is the quintessential human delusion simultaneously the source of our greatest strength and our greatest weakness. Give us Hope Dee. Give us Hope.

Sorry Guys.....I thought I posted the results that I gathered Sunday evening and was just going to update for next week once everyone started posting there stats on here. So I went back thru this posting and changed where needed. All I know to do it cut and past the spreadsheet right here and it is not automatically giving my percentages. So here is what I got....if I missed someone please let me know if I have something wrong. Looks like everyone is doing great.

You know the saying "Hope springs eternal"? Well, it doesn't really. I've completely squashed the daylights out of it. PS - No chemical precursors were required. However, reading your post did make me laugh. This in turn probably affected my neurochemistry. (Most likely producing some endorphins or such.) As a result - although it's really because Jenn has now posted your spreadsheet - I will calculate your team totals, and place your team in the position which is properly yours. I did have fun squashing "hope" however. LOL Edited by D001 2007-11-15 8:05 PM |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" Challenge - Team 2!! My dear, darling Vigilantes.... Let's discuss the concept of "units." "Units" mean that when you declare a goal in one type of units, for example - miles or meters, you must report your progress using the same units. I see goals like: Bike 100 miles. Then, your weekly progress is reported as: 60 minutes biking. Now, if I knew how fast you were riding, I could probably convert minutes to miles. But I don't. And if you think that I'm going to take time away from chatting in Twisnibbins to check your logs, in hopes that you have a pace listed, well, no.... It's just not gonna happen. (Not even if Rmaldon240 turns out to have muscles as big as those in his avatar, and flexes 'em for me.) So, my dear, darling Vigilantes...... Here's what I need from you: 1) Please check the numbers that Irongirl39 (Jenn) has posted above. Observe the units in your goal and in your progress to date. 2) If they don't match, let me know how to modify them in the spreadsheet. (For example, goal in minutes and progress in minutes. Or goal in miles and progress in miles.) Penalties for not doing this will be as follows: You must display a photo on the Twisinibbins team thread, that shows off the "results" of your workouts.* Please remember that this is a family site. Pictures showing your workout induced calf and legs muscles are good. ("R" or "X" rated photos, however, will probably get ALL of us in trouble with "Those who rule BT." So please don't post those!) * The Twisnibbins team loves pics. So I'm just instituting this penalty for them. (Or maybe it's just for me. LOL) Of course, if you just want to stop by Twisnibbins to chat, or display body parts, even if you don't have a penalty flag, we'd be happy to have you. We love visitors. And, as you can tell from our page count, we tend to chat a lot. LOL Anyway, once I have the proper units for everything, I'll update the master spreadsheet. Dee |

Veteran 228 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: November "Your Choice" Challenge - Team 2!! DEE - I do and I will. (Anything for the team) Hopefully, your heart can take it. Deannas - That sucks. I am sorry to hear that but we've got a goal to meet so get another helmet or break out the trainer. (KIDDING, TOTALLY completely kidding) I'm in Hagerstown, Maryland and it is crazy cold. We did a 30 mile bike ride today and with the wind chill it had to be in the low 30s. Tomorrow's 50 mile run should be interesting.
