Subject: RE: Pay it forwardYou don't need a wetsuit. I didn't for my first 5-6 years of racing, and I still did fine (won my age group often). You also don't really need books or DVDs. The internet is just as good, if not better, for information, as long as you know what to believe and what sources to trust. This websit has lots of good, free, articles, and I would put stock in them. Ask around for more advice, and see what answers you get. For the first 5 years of my racing I swam, biked and ran in bike shorts. yeah, at times it was a bit uncomfortable running, but it worked, and i couldn't afford any more. You only need the fancy gear for the long distance tri's and when you start to think you really want to step up your game. Forcus on preparing and training, and have fun! |
