KOM - 2009-10-18 8:27 PM Woo Hoo E.V.I.L. Running Reapers!! Nice work team.  For those of you having trouble maintaining your weight and calorie intake with all the running I posted my Flourless Chocolate Cake Recipe in my blog today.  Yes it really does call for over a pound of bittersweet chocolate and 1/2 pound of butter....and it is really good!!

Ha!  No wonder it tastes good.  A half pound of butter will make anything delicious!

That and bacon!

(Except maybe on the flourless chocolate cake...)

I had hoped to do my run this morning, but I was way too lazy, so it will be after work. Also, looks like I may want to up my challenge goal because I think I will hit 80 miles pretty soon. I'll have to go back to my schedule and do some figuring.

Got 4.3 miles in. Chilly at first, 37* but I love running in the cold.

Yea, forgot to mention, that when I got home from my trip yesterday I learned my heating system is on the fritz! My  house was ice cold! Good friends lent me some oil room heaters for the time being, it was just a bit hard to get out of bed this morning. Hope this isn't gonna cost to much to fix...

Good morning reapers... finally got my 10k run in this morning...  I hate getting up to run, but seem to be able to get the runs done in the morning more so than the evening...

Hey guys.  Got a 5k run.  Was gonna do a 10k but bailed on it.  I'll do it tomorrow.  It was really nice out but I just didn't feel like running any longer.  And I had operator error with my Garmin.  I hate when that happens.  It was only 36 out but I was nice and toasty.  I love cold weather running!

I feel the same way.  I'm back at work today and I'm having a really hard time focusing and doing work.  Plus, I'm really cold.

A little bit.  I painted the wall in my room and I LOVE the color.  But, it needs another coat.  I even bought the paint w/primer in it in hopes that I'd only have to do one coat.  Nope.  Bummer.  Now I am debating whether or not I want to go to Home Depot and get more paint.  I have decided that I am NOT a good painter!

Painting wears me out...  It is not physically difficult, but it requires mental focus -especially when doing the detail work around the ceiling, baseboards, windows, and doors...  It just wears me down...

Good afternoon, fellow Reapers!  I had a very busy couple of days at work the end of last week, and then a busy but fun weekend.  I went to a spin class on Saturday morning taught by Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser.  OMG!  It was the spin class from hell with about 90% of it out of the saddle.  I personally didn't get out of the saddle that much since I'm still in the final stages of rehab for my knee injury, but even with that, it was still the spin class from hell!  LOL

For those who watch the show, Shay from the current season was also there taking the class.  She is looking great!  She's currently down 150 pounds from her starting weight.   She actually chatted with me for about 15 minutes prior to the class starting. She was sharing her workout schedule with me and I got tired just HEARING it.  Wink  She's in the gym six days a week, putting in a total of about 36 hours per week.  One hour of each workout day is spent with a trainer, but the rest of it is on her own.

Dee - I updated the spreadsheet yesterday just before lunch.  Since I'm on the west coast though, I may have missed the deadline.  I'll try and remember to do it on Saturday night next weekend.

Ok, I'm heading out for a walk.  I'm counting down the days until my ortho clears me to start wogging again -- only 2 more weeks to go if all goes well! Cool

WOW! Spin class with celebrities!  Sounds like an interesting discussion with Shay.  Losing 7+ pounds a week means burning an extra 24,500 calories a week! They would HAVE to work out constantly!! Was Bob fun, interesting, nice??  Glad to hear your knee is coming along.

Still feeling the effects of Saturday's long run. Hip was hurting so took it extremely easy (i.e. some walking involved). Going down as a 6 miler in my log, although have to admit I'm probably being a little bit generous. Definitely out there for 6+ miles worth of time though.

I'm getting hungry reading this thread. The most unfortunate part is that I cannot eat butter, flourless chocolate cake, or bacon and they all sound delicious!

He was VERY nice!  I told him about how much weight I've lost thus far and he was very happy for me and congratulated me.

He actually posted a quick note on my Facebook wall yesterday as well which shocked me to no end!  Of course, it was related to something I didn't mention earlier which was the fact that I briefly had to get off the bike and throw up ... just a little bit ... about 10 minutes from the end of the class.  I think it was the combination of how hot the room was coupled with the very intense climb he had us on to finish up the class.  I was very proud of myself for actually getting back on the bike after that though and finishing the class.  Cool

Feel free to post your recipe in the Nutritional Cafe, in my recipe book.  It's stickied at the top, or you can follow the link in my sig.  I thought having a thread that's for all sorts of different recipes to share would be cool.  I might even run a few more times if people start sharing.

You might run a few more times if I zapped you with a Cattle Prod, too.

Hi, Team! Work got crazy-busy last week so I disappeared from our thread for a while (but no worries -- I still ran plenty). Hopefully I can dig back into all your training logs and get inspiring again this week. And Dee, I'm sorry I missed the weekly update deadline! I'm really glad my missing mileage didn't throw the team off too much, but I did enter my mileage today so I'm trying to keep us on track.

Don't worry about missing the weekly updates. Other people have too.

The only update that *REALLY* matters is the one at the end of the month!

That's when we either win the challenge, or I taser all of you.
