I'd like in on the challenge.  Put me down for 158 with a goal of 153.  I'm probably over 160 at the moment, but more so because I ate a few big meals.  Nothing a couple of workouts won't burn off.

Rich, I hope you don't mind me stepping on your toes, but if people copy and paste the table, they can update easily themselves as we go.  I've added an extra row at the bottom in case we have any more late joiners ;-)

I'll miss my weigh-in this Friday - traveling for work. (I'll catch up on Sunday when I'm back at my own scale first thing in the morning.)

I've got high hopes for keeping my training strong during the trip...my past experiences have not been quite that productive.

As far as eating...well, I'll do the best I can - between airport food and provided conference food, I just need to make smart(er) choices. (But I won't be passing up dessert if it's good.)

I need a goal.  Put me down as 150 (no training and stress have taken their toll and led to weight gain...) aiming for 145.  That's a little aggressive, but considering that 4 weeks ago I was 140 it isn't crazy.

Thanks for doing this! Btw none of us will be able to understand this 'kilogram' concept so I appreciate you keeping the rest of our numbers in lbs. Yes, yes we need to change to metric, but old habits die hard lol.

lol!  If you really wanted to confuse us though, you should record your weight in stone.

I was pleased with how yesterday turned out food wise.  I was over my calorie goal by 20 but that' s a far cry from the 200+ that I've got to assume I was over most days.  If nothing else, recording what I ate helped me reign in what I consumed in the evening.

Big self-control test today as I have a business lunch at a Chinese restaurant!

I've given up even trying to get to the gym at this point because my son's nebulizer treatments just take up too much time for me to get them done and get to work on time.  I simply can't go at any other time than before work.  That being said, I need to start taking a walk at lunch if nothing else...

Angry (work stuff) 2100yds in the pool this morning.  I don't feel any better about the stuff going on around here, but I took 7sec off my 100yd time!  I'd say I should swim angry more often, but I don't think the 7sec is worth it in the long run.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Fred D - 2013-03-05 8:07 AMActually I use metric all the time in my job, as does anyone in the USA who works in any field relating to science or medicine. We, in America, just like to be obstinate about a few things lol.
We've used metric since the '70s here but I don't know many people who know their weight in kg, almost everyone weighs themselves in lbs here, even the kids in their 20s who grew up using metric. I like to record my runs and biking in miles also, and at the gyms here most of the treadmills are set for miles, not km. The stores usually list prices in both per lb and per kg. Gas is priced per litre but when we are comparing fuel efficiency we always convert to miles/gallon.

So saw another doctor yesterday.  I fell fine, but have this nagging wheezing and cough.  They took xrays to check for pneumonia.  Nothing.  He said sometimes the bronchial inflammation just sticks around for a long time after getting over colds.  Gave me a steroid.  So now I'm on steroid, antibiotics, and an inhaler.  I asked him when can I start training again.  He says, "when you feel better."  I said, "I feel great.  So when this cough and wheeze clears up?" He gives me a shrug and a smile and says, "When you feel better."  What the heck!?  I'm getting on the trainer tonight.

I guess I have to give a goal!  162 lbs.  That's a bit over my race weight and I don' t have to be there until august.

It's kind of funny, but I do know my weight in kg.  I started looking at power/weight ratio for biking last year so it stuck.

Measurements in Kg are nice cause the number comes out lower  Might mean the same when multiplies to pounds, but it looks nicer.

Coach was no show for swim today, unless he called in and no one told us in the pool......anyway, it's a good thing I keep a few workouts in my gym bag for those just in case kind of days.
