Subject: RE: ESCKTC Bike Ride SundayWhen I ride Pecos (the majortiy of my rides are here ) I usually park at the Park and Ride at 40th and Pecos. If split up groups are an option, this might be a good place to start. To the end of Pecos and back is about 15 miles. There are some hills, but only 1 that is tuff (but short ). For a more intense ride you take 17th ave on the way back and follow Chandler Blvd. This is where the big hill is at and you can squeeze an extra couple miles out of it as well. The good part about doing a Pecos out and back is if someone breaks down or is having problems, they can be seen on the way back. There are pros and cons to this route. Pros: short loop increments let you choose your distance and less worry about bonking half way into a 35mile loop, hills and flats, pretty simple course. Cons: doing the same loop gets a little boring and you have to drive a little more to get there.
I'm really down for what ever, as long as it includes some saddle time. |
