Left early today and ran 2.19.  I'm at 25.97 for the challenge, so only 9.03 to go!  I was a little skeptical that I'd finish, but now I'm sure that I'll do it.  Might be finishing up on Wednesday, but that's ok.

I tried a pair of Brooks once, got about 200 miles or so and I literally could not run in them any more. I tried, but within the first mile, it felt like someone was whacking my soles with a baseball bat. I'm wearing Mizunos now, and haven't had any issues.

This isn't to say that I think Brooks are bad in any way. They just don't work on my feet so well. Shoes are personal things.

Too true. I was so relieved when I put the new ones on and felt like essentially they're the same shoe that I've been wearing even though they've made some changes.

I'm toying with trying these out too though I'm a little leery as these are for moderate to severe over-pronation while my current ones are designed for mild to moderate. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?

Years ago I tried running in a pair of Brooks and had a number of issues with them.  I didn't care for them after that and never went back.

Well, some improvement from yesterday; no sore throat.  Now, if I can just get this mucus to go away, I'll be good as gold.

Ha, some guy on the bus last night coughed on my hand. i spent the rest of the ride staring at my hand, pretending to read the paper.

He coughed on my hand! Who does that? Aside from two year-olds?

He failed to cover his mouth while coughing and coughed directly onto my hand. i was sitting on one of the sideways seats in the front of the bus, and he was sitting in a forward-facing seat next to me.

OK, team, it's about 11:20 on Friday.  We have 6 days (including today) to get to our respective goals.  With that in mind, here's where we stand:

Artemis: 25.97/35, 9.03 to go, 1.51 per day.
Crowny2: 29.83/50, 20.17 to go, 3.36 per day.
LCT: 121.6/130, 8.39 to go, 1.40 per day.
Lvthgame: 16/20, 4 to go, .67 per day.
Matchman: 73.03/90, 16.97 to go, 2.83 per day.
Mike45: 72.16/80, 7.84 to go, 1.31 per day.
Mr2Tony: 82.65/100, 17.35 to go, 2.89 per day.
Rynamite: 42.3/50, 7.7 to go, 1.28 per day.
Scout7: 186.5/200, 13.5 to go, 2.25 per day.
Spokes: 156.91/175, 18.09 to go, 3.02 per day.
Schwamm: 27.89/50, 22.11 to go, 3.69 per day.
WaterDogg66: 182/200, 18 to go, 3.00 per day.

Now we all know how much we've done, what's left, and how many miles per day for the next 6 days we need.  Hopefully, this information will motivate us, and help figure out what we each need to do in the next 6 days.

Scout,

I've done 35 to date.  Must have missed one somewhere.  I'll go back and PM you my runs this month to cross check what you have for me.

I added another 7 miles so I have 10 to go. I figured I'll belt that out this weekend.

I'm going to miss my race in Chicago because I have to get back to Omaha but I'll get my miles in by Oct. 31. OH YES! I will.

I've got 13.1 to do on Sunday.  That will put me at slightly over my goal... 134.7.  Probably add another 5 on 10/31 for good measures.

I are at 81.13 of 90 (90.1%) as of today. Me having fun running.

Off today, and then another 15 over the last few days of the month. I might have to add a little to that to get to an even 100 miles. I'd hate to get to 96 and not stretch it to 100...

Go Werewolves!!!
