chadtower - 2008-07-17 10:15 AM I take em eight to eighty, dumb crippled and crazy Crisp and clean with no caffeine and a pair of spandex or either tight jeans Couldn't believe the ones with the Chinese cuts but I'll take 'em with the weave hangin down to they butts And if you step up in a large sum Like Martin Luther King, I Shall Overcome I get the job done

I really like how twisted that is.

For the record, the kids' mom looked pretty good when I picked them up on Monday. Ha... too bad she never got that thin for me! Tongue out

My ex did the same thing.. cept she did it by jamming fingers down her throat.... i can live with out the pukin

She's done it with diet and exercise, but she practices denying herself certain foods and I think its simply better to eat less if you want something that's 'not good for you'.

Several hours late on this one But yeah, I agree. I don't deprive myself of much of anything, esp good "bad" stuff that I REAAALLLY like. But I just don't pig out on it. Psycho-roommie was mind-boggled when I brought home brownies early on in my living there. I was like "um, yes, these are mine, and yes, I am going to eat them - you can have some too if you want" - she didn't, of course.

Very adorable.

bcart1991 - 2008-07-17 4:27 PM Adidas Gazelle. Best shoe ever? Discuss.

Dunno. I wear Mizuno Wave Riders.

Asics and Mizunos here as well.

My favorite running shoes of all time were a pair of Nike American that were a SUPER light racing flat that came out in the mid-1980's.  They were red, white, and blue and were really light, but comfortable.

RYAN - since you're the new Crackberry resident expert at your work, here's some news for you:

(4) CRITICAL: BlackBerry Attachment Service PDF Processing Remote Code Execution

Affected:
Research In Motion BlackBerry Enterprise Server versions 4.1.5 and prior
Research In Motion BlackBerry Unite! versions earlier than 1.0.1 b36

Description: The Research In Motion BlackBerry is a popular mobile telephone and messaging device. It provides enterprise connectivity by running server software that integrates with an enterprise's messaging infrastructure. This server software preprocesses some document types to make them more easily viewable on a mobile device. The server software contains a flaw in its processing of Portable Document Format (PDF) documents. A specially crafted PDF could trigger this flaw, resulting in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the vulnerable process. Note that a user must first open the PDF on a BlackBerry mobile device for exploitation to occur. Some technical details for this vulnerability are publicly available.

Status: Vendor confirmed, no updates available.

Rynamite - 2008-07-17 1:56 PM My buddy just got a lab/beagle mix from the Humane Society. It's the cooooolest dog.

We picked up a pit bull/lab mix a few months back.. best dog ever!!

Hmm...pitbulls, even a mix, make me wary. I've heard too many stories. My best friend from childhood got a pitbull mix of some kind when we were in jr high and she was living in Pittsfield, MA. The dog was great and then one day, it flipped out and bit someone. And not like a "hey, you have food and I'm going to try to take it" kind of thing. It was malicious. And this family ALWAYS had dogs and were very much dog people so it's not as if they mistreated it or anything. I just hear too many stories like that about pit bulls. Same with rottweilers. And I love me some big dogs.

pitt bulls get a bad rap.. they are very loving and want to be loved.. they are very willing to do what you want.. so if you want a mean dog you will get a mean dog... we want a big loving dog and that is what they will be....

Spokes - 2008-07-17 5:41 PM Chrissy (can I use your RL name?), hey, I was out playing with the kids at the Ashworth Pool in Greenwood Park. Haven't been at that pool for probably 25 years... they tore out the old pool and completely redid it a few years ago. My son can swim well enough now he was playing in the 'big pool' but my daughter still needs more confidence in herself... so I was over in the kids' pool, talking to her and trying to watch my son at the same time.

Yes, that is fine to use my real name - it's in my profile, so it's public knowledge. Haha, no, I remembered you had said you were taking your kids to the pool and were going to take lots of cheesy pictures

That's what I'm saying though - heard stories of normal families who didn't mistreat the dog or teach it to be "mean" and one day the dog just turned.

Thats usually not the case.. for example my sons had a lab for years at their mothers house (my ex wife).. never had any problems with the dog.. then all of the sudden one day the dog bit their younger brother(not my child) on the hand... they never had problems with the dog either...

my sons told me the story and the first thing i asked them was what was their brother doing to the dog.. at first nothing then after digging a bit found out that he had a tendancy to yank on the dogs tail and ears..

so most of the time when you hear a story about a dog biting "out of nowhere" there really is a reason that it happened...

i'm not saying there are no aggressive dogs there just is usually more to the story

Not sure - I would have to ask.  I know that when they do bows or quick turns, the have to hold it on as a precaution with their hands.  It's really subtle, so It's not noticed unless you are looking for it.

I did The Will Rogers Follies in high school and there was a number where several of us were dressed up kind of like that, walking around showgirl style - I was lucky and didn't have a really heavy headdress. It was just a band with a very large feather, but I had two arm pieces that hooked around the palms of my hands and I had to walk around for the entire number and stand with my arms up - that SUCKED. I'll see if I can find a pic. It was a cool costume, though.

My neck hurts....

The other day we were talking about neck injuries, and I mentioned that I hadn't tweaked mine in over 18 months.  Well, it happened yesterday (not too bad though).  I knocked on wood when I mentioned it, but maybe not hard enough......

Doing the same thing as when it happenes in the past - doing pull up of all things.  I must strain my neck doing that excercise for some reason.  I little hard to turn my head today...
