I'm debating my dinner choices for tonight because no one is home...hmmm I might go on a hunt to see my options...Last night my dad actually ended up making food...some I'm thinking my salmon option would be appropriate for tonight... I normally wrap in tin foil with lemon and butter and go from there! we landed next to Oprahs ranch while out flying in helicopters my last visit to Maui....I WANT TO LIVE THERE! I could even pitch a tent where we landed and be happy! sorry to be so random here....but I dont watch Oprah much...dont watch TV much...so when you said her name thats what came to mind! and I shared...arent you thrilled! and if you want to know more...we had pineapple champagne and cheese while we were landed! ok...im done now...thirsty for pineapple champagne.....but done! I like champagne Pineapple sounds delicious! |

Nice job! I got mine in too! *off to a nice start TOPpage* heading out for a short 20 min run...this is a taper week...for my big race this weekend! ;_) GOOD LUCK!!!! GO Julie Toppage!!! Thanks Katie!!!! I just found out it is supposed to be colder then usual...so here is that layering thing while running...but still will probably underdress rather then over for this dont want to haul a bunch of clothing around my waist and sure dont want to overheat... although I did just read that any clothes that you throw to the side will be picked up and donated to shelters near by....thats nice! but not sure Im ready to donate my zoot jacket... I'm facing the same situation. It's supposed to be low 40s at race start. Bought a cheapo $5 long sleeve shirt at wal-mart that I will be donating man...I need a Walmart near me...cant tell you the last time I got a LONG sleeve shirt for $5. We have a came-apart near by...but I dare not go there....last time I had to kick my way thru the store! it was a MeSsSsSsSsSssSS! I usually try to avoid the place. Lot's of scaaaary people in there, even in the daylight. But when you need something cheap you gotta do what you gotta do. |

Elite 3447 West Allis, WI | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge willie05 - 2009-10-02 8:16 AM Kim - I should have explained further about those plans I posted. When I mentioned that if you can't hit all the miles, I was trying to get at that time is short before your race, but didn't explain that very well. I think the best thing about those plans is the mixture of long runs, tempo runs, and intervals. They give you a good basis to help you tailor a plan that suits you over the next month as you increase your mileage to get ready for your half. yep! Got that...thanks! |

Elite 3447 West Allis, WI | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge willie05 - 2009-10-02 8:18 AM Just found a picture of myself from the Savageman Olympic I did a couple weeks ago that I thought I would share. I mentioned this in my log that I have a lot of cool aero pictures of myself, but I think this one is now my favorite. I spent most of this race riding with nobody in sight, and this picture shows that and reminds me of all the lonely training hours: this is toooo cool! Who takes your pictures? |

Elite 3447 West Allis, WI | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge notarunnr - 2009-10-02 10:20 AM Good morning team! Just wanted to let everyone know I am not a slacker(well I am because I am supposed to swim today, but I am just too cold to put on a suit and get in the water). My goal this month is to increase the distance in my runs. So I have to log 4 runs longer than 6 miles. My first one is scheduled for Sunday. For some reason when I go for a long run I get anxiety about half way through that my house has blown up or someone desperately needs my attention........I think it is a mental game. Good luck to everyone racing this weekend! we'll get you through! Maybe a taser will get you going long!! |
