How do you feel about someone who lives at home with their parents? This someone is single and looking to date. Does it depend on the circumstances? Does it become unacceptable at a certain age no matter what? Just for the sake of this discussion, let's say the person is 28. Or 30. Take your pick.

DEEP DISCUSSION GO!

Very situational... but I feel like there has to be movement towards moving out. So if they are saving for a house down payment, supporting the family in a tough time, or just banking money to take time off, those are all reasonable.

If there is no end in sight, it's dangerous.

I think it does depend on the situaion.  I have had friends go through divorces and move back in for a short period of time (messy divorce in both instances) until they could get finances back in order.  I would be mindful of a "Failure to Launch" kind of person but that is just me.

Personally, I say go with your gut.  If you want to date him, then date...  It doesn't matter what other people think of all your "interesting" boy situations...

I mean, if you REALLY like the guy, are you going to not give him a chance if TAN says "yuck" to someone who lives at home?

Oh yeah...  "hypothetically", that is.

Umm...it completely depends on circumstances and not a hard and fast age.  What is their job?  Why are they living at home?  Do they have any ambition or drive at all?  And we would always have to hang at my house.  Just...ewwww...def not hooking up in your mom's basement!

fugging passwords...

I'm trying to get into an email account I get into about once a month if lucky... Can't remember the password... AND, to top it off?  Can't remember the "security" question...

It asked what my favorite food/drink is.  Of COURSE it's pizza.  It has been forever...   MAYBE ice cream?  But neither works so now I'm screwed, unless I can luck into the password.

Nah I know what you Yahoos think doesn't matter. It was just for the sake of discussion.
I have a girlfriend who just moved back home, she's really worried about the stigma attached with it, but her wanting to save up money for a house trumps that.

I did meet a guy over the weekend who lives at home... I need to investigate further cause we didn't get that far as to why or how long or ambition or any of that yet.

Truly depends on situation.  Are they a newborn, teenager, paraplegic adult, etc.??

This someone is single and looking to date. Does it depend on the circumstances?

Yes.  Do they socialize or lock themselves up in a room and write manifestos?

Does it become unacceptable at a certain age no matter what?

If "it" equals s.e.x., then there are laws for not doing that below a certain age, and without consent.

Just for the sake of this discussion, let's say the person is 28. Or 30. Take your pick.
