mr2tony - 2011-12-05 10:19 AM Our email system is down. Hard to do my job!

I was wondering what the eff was going on... I tried to send you a couple and kept getting the evil bounce back.

I like your new FB trick BTW.

Yeah is it working now? I'm trying to send you messages.

But if it's working, wouldn't that mean you actually have to ... work?

I noticed the thread, COJ rules, and agree that this site is not only helpful, but classy. There are so many sites out there, where people are rude to newcomers. Never understood that.

On another note. I didn’t send one. Single. Resume. This weekend. I take procrastination to new heights! not sure what i'm waiting for.

@ lockout…are you through with work now? Have been praying for ya to find something you like, and that is also  $$ rewarding.

Tough question... Technically, no, I'm not. They have given me my 2 weeks notice... and they expect me to come in and work. But I don't think I'll be doing much of that. Frankly, I'm surprised that they didn't give me a cardboard box and tell me to hit the road when they told me I didn't have a job any more. 2 weeks is a long time to mess things up.

I never, ever WOULD, but I COULD.

i'm in sales...so, even when resigning...they don't keep sales people around. for fear of stealing clients, etc.

you sound like you wanted the carboard box. Tongue out

Yea, that's kinda my thought exactly... there is some serious effing up that can happen.

And I did. I'd rather not sit here and do nothing for 2 weeks, I'd rather be at home, sitting and doing nothing for 2 weeks.

ha

did u get a severance package?

Sure didn't.

Pete,

Sorry to hear about the job.  I must have fallen asleep and missed that you got the 'pink slip'.  Any thoughts about heading south of the boarder; if so let me know and I woudl be more than happy to pass along yoru resume.

I tied a banana to the palm trees in the lobby. It stayed there 2 days.

I ALWAYS wnated to put toy dinosaurs (or army men) in the 3D model of the buildings like they were under siege.

So my fever went up to 39.5 C.

Should I be worried? I don't feel THAT bad. Just hot. And tired. And awful headache. And icky. In short, how I usually feel these days.

I guess I'll just suck down some painkillers, paracetamol, and go to bed. (Sometime). If it goes up anymore maybe i'll ice my pits.

Yes! That's quite high! Masking it isn't what you need; you need to CURE it! Is there some kind of center for tropical diseases you can get to who can run a panel of virus tests?

Yea, that's one of the reasons I've been looking exclusively in Canada. I just don't want the hassle of finding a job, only to find out that I can't get it because I'm Canadian. I am currently looking mostly in MTL, because it's an AWESOME city, full of many, many beautiful women... and a little elsewhere.

Well, I for sure still have typhoid. That doesn't mean there isn't a virus lurking around somewhere, too.

Hm. Center for tropical diseases. Not really, because those ARE the common diseases here. Maybe there's something in Kuala Lumpur.

The white cell count isn't pretty. Platelets and serum iron were very low last visit, too, but then I'd been bleeding a lot in different ways for 11 days at that point, too.

You might have an easier time that me - depending on how much work is available in your field.  It never hurts to send your resume to the US firms, but on the understanding that they would have to do the visa application process for you.  Sadly for me, I'm pretty much fukkered in terms of getting a visa unless I get some amazingly good news in the new year.  Sigh.

Kido - 2011-12-05 12:48 PM I'm looking forward to the day! We are going out to officially get my birthday dinner in (yes, over a week late) now that all the other stuff is behind us. Plus I thinks it's also a treat for bring a brave boy at the hospital! I just need to decide where to go. We may go see a movie too. I think we are leaving the father in law behind to make it more romanticle. If not today, tomorrow. I.could also use a massage.

Sounds awesome, man. Enjoy. After the last couple of weeks that you've had, take time to savour it.

You sound good. Great to hear!

You definitely deserve all that, and a massage, and a very happy ending, whomever may supply it.

I'm looking for volunteers to be happy ending appliers. I think it could be a team effort - it's been a while.

Kido - 2011-12-06 1:31 AM Squeezed another couple hours of sleep in. what did I miss the last few hours?

That you need to squeeze something else in something ... oh wait, sorry I got distracted. What?

How's your neck feeling?

Mostly itchy. Somewhat hurty...

Itchy is healing: That's a good thing.
