Subject: RE: Fred D's Ironman/Half-Ironman focused Mentor Group --CLOSEDI have a 2.5 hour bike ride on my plan today. Along with a swim. I just cannot take off for 2.5 hours, as much as I would love to, as they do expect me to work part of the day at least. lol I thought about changing my speed ride to day and get that on the trainer after work, then I could do the longer ride when I don't have to double up. I can at least still ride outside which makes the trainer more tolerable. What are folks thoughts though to eliminating the long ride during the week (well, the medium ride really ) and instead riding more often, an hour at a time? I can sometimes get a 2 hour ride in when I am not doubling up but it's tough cause that is not just 2 hours, it's showering and stuff as well. I can still get in my long rides on the weekend. If this was the summer it'd be less issues cause the sun would be actually out and I could get it in before work. |
