Pregnant daughter lost her baby at 5 1/2 months. Bike shop found crack in chain stay on my 10-week old Madone 5.2 and Trek is calling it "impact damage" (BS) and trying to avoid a warranty claim. It's at the factory in Wisconsin right now. Did two races so far this month, race reports are up. Finally got a chance to update the challenge. That's the short version |

I was cycling along last year and the whole crank fell off. When I took it in - they told me I needed to tighten the screws every now and then (in a cocky tone) so I reminded them I had JUST taken it in for a seasonal servicing and wasn't that done during that process??? They still charged me the cost to repair... I was thinking about Chris' bleeding nipples during his run - it sounds SO painful! Maybe the running community needs to consider designing a sport "bro" Ithink I'll invest in a wetsuit this year. I keep telling myself that I'll only race in warmer races where I don't need one but ya - middle of August last year and they made it wetsuit mandatory with water temps of only 13 degrees. Maybe the running community needs to consider designing a sport "bro" Not painful at all while running. I didn't notice until looked down. On the funny side, one of my friends said a "bloody nipple" sounds like a trendy drink. Also, when I put on flesh colored bandaids after showering after the race, they matched my skin so well, you couldn't really see them. But they did make my nipples disappear. So I turned to wife and said "Hey look! I'm a Ken Doll!" And one of the main reasons I'm doing this exercising thing is so that eventually I won't need a bro! Begone manboobs! |

Run-swim yesterday (with an extra short Runch not logged) and bike this morning. Feeling really strong right now, so taking advantage and getting a few extra miles in. @Jackie- sorry to hear about your daughter. That's got to be really tough mentally for you right now. How should this be accounted for in terms of overall point. I assumed Saturday was worth zero, correct? Here's how I would suggest it works: You still need to have 4 rest days for the entire month. If you take an extra rest day the day before or after a race you can get one point for that day. If you choose to workout before or after a race day you get the points you would normally get for those workouts. What I'm suggesting is that if you biked the day before a race you can't get two points for that day because you had a workout already. I hope I didn't come across too confusing. Joe in your case it looks like you have counted that as a rest day and you worked out the day after your race. I guess technically you could give yourself a point for the day before the race but would need to come up with another rest day at some point so you get to the mandated 4 rest days in the month of May. |
